Seriously nobody actually likes sprouts do they

The sooner we all admit this, the better. You're just lying to yourselves if you say otherwise.

The worst are the people who say "oh but if you fry them with bacon and crack cocaine they taste great." No. That is the bacon and drugs being worsened by this green hell.

Let's admit this once and for all.

I love them. I'm another one who buys them frozen to eat throughout the year, although frozen are never as good as fresh.

I loathe Brussels sprouts and won't have them in the house.

I also dislike Wedding cake, Christmas cake/pudding - I ate them as a child but then we were hard up and we ate what we were given. I realise now that the former was only palatable because of the huge dollop of cream served with it.

I think that tastes have changed generally these days and lighter fare is much nicer.

Hated them as a kid as we always had them boiled to death. Now I cook them with bacon in garlic butter and can tolerate them but only at xmas.
The best xmas veg is parsnips. Love them.

We all love them in our house - me, DH, teen DD and DS. DH grows his own and they are sweet and delish.

I love sprouts, have done since I was a kid. Eat them fairly often too, not just for Christmas dinner. 😁

Love them - boil em, mash em, stick em in a stew! Well maybe not the last but I might try that. They have a lovely nutty flavour - I'll eat them any way but they are not their best when boiled for an age like my mother often does. Roast them - they are really lovely with some Za'atar sprinkled on them. I've always loved them and gladly hoover up others and if pressed would forgo roast potatoes for sprouts would never give up a pig in a blanket though

I need to try some of these, I've only ever boiled sprouts. 🙈 Mashed and roasted sound lovely!

I don't like sprouts. I've really tried. I can eat a lot of veg raw even if I don't like it cooked.

But sprouts. Yuck.

My DH , DS and DM genuinely like them though,

I love them, I've just bought another bag to make sure I have enough. There's two of us for Christmas Dinner....

You can never have too many sprouts especially as I have them again Boxing Day as bubble and squeak with cold meats.
