The sooner we all admit this, the better. You're just lying to yourselves if you say otherwise.

The worst are the people who say "oh but if you fry them with bacon and crack cocaine they taste great." No. That is the bacon and drugs being worsened by this green hell.

Let's admit this once and for all.

My six year old DD is possibly the only child in the world who likes sprouts.

Hesma · 20/12/2021 13:35

I love them as does my 9 year old!

littlepeas · 20/12/2021 13:42

I like them. I roast them in olive oil.

You've not read the thread then?! Xmas Grin
stingofthebutterfly · 20/12/2021 14:01

I can't say I love them but I like them cooked with bacon and chestnuts, and well-seasoned.

Tink626 · 20/12/2021 14:02

I don't much like them on their own but with bubble and squeak on boxing day they are amazing!

TarpaulinEyes · 20/12/2021 14:03

Fairy cabbages. They're delicious and awesome. I want some now.

LadyMacbethWasMisunderstood · 20/12/2021 14:06

I love them. And would make a meal of them.

Guacamole001 · 20/12/2021 14:08

I am boring and luv all green vegetables!

Unicornsbumhole · 20/12/2021 14:11

I love sprouts, I would happily eat a bowl full

Sadly they make me fart like a trooper so my husband hates me eating them 😔

CorpusCallosum · 20/12/2021 14:13

I love them and eat them loads, not just for Christmas dinner.

DazedandConcerned · 20/12/2021 14:37

I LOVE them. I roast them in the turkey fat. Soooo bad for you. But sooooo good.

SallyWD · 20/12/2021 15:14

They are my favourite vegetable. I love them! Seriously my mouth waters thinking about them. I love them just steamed and drizzled with olive oil and salt but if you have them roasted they're divine!

Ekofisk · 20/12/2021 15:20

Ugh, no. Slathering horseradish on them at least makes them vaguely edible.

LizzieW1969 · 20/12/2021 15:26

I’m definitely not lying when I say that my DH and I like sprouts. But our DDs certainly don’t. Grin

Animood · 20/12/2021 15:27

Omg I love them!

Roast them and cover them in fried bacon bits and black pepper. So delicious!

SoSickOfItNow · 20/12/2021 15:28

I love sprouts, have them quite often when in season.

emmathedilemma · 20/12/2021 15:29

Love them!

OutOfCyan · 20/12/2021 15:33

Ds has loved sprouts since he was small. It's a regular Sunday dinner veg in our house

shinynewapple21 · 20/12/2021 15:41

I do!

BewareTheRedNosedDragon · 20/12/2021 15:43

I love them 🤷‍♀️

mogsrus · 20/12/2021 15:45

Nope, and I eat veg by the truckload, our daughter will eat them cold, it’s the only veg that never enters the house.

Katiepants27 · 20/12/2021 16:00

I'm pretty sure the reason most people dislike sprouts is because everyone overcooks them. They literally need about 3-4 mins in a steamer and should still be bright green when served. Yum!

Soggy spouts with all the colour and taste leeched out of them? Yuk, no thanks!

EerieSilence · 20/12/2021 16:32

I absolutely love them. We eat them since their season starts. Even DD started to like them. Sorry, not sorry.

Cherryblossoms85 · 20/12/2021 16:34

@PeaAndHamSoupFromATurkey

No I love them. I would have a double helping of sprouts and skip potatoes. I'm really not a big fan of potatoes in any form but I'll have one or two small pieces if there's butter or gravy on them.
I was trying really hard to work out why "skip potatoes" would taste nice Blush and now dying of laughter at my own dimness!
