Top three options if that was the limit for Xmas dinner?

Mine is probably parsnips, nice carrots and broccoli.

I know I'm going to change my mind when I see other responses.

Exquistely Thank goodness you agree- I don't feel so alone!!

Looubylou · 22/12/2021 19:46

Sprouts, carrot, turnip. Followed by broccoli, parsnip, butter beans and peas. I'd be very upset if any of those were missed out. If I had to drop 1 - peas. If I could only have 1 it would be sprouts.

@scottishnames I'm old too and we didn't have cauliflower cheese or honey glazed vegetables when we were young. Veg was simple but never over cooked. However since we've been the Christmas dinner providers they have contained cauliflower cheese for as long as I can remember and I hadn't really thought about the fact that we didn't have it as children. No idea when/why it started either. Our red cabbage is sweet too.
