For those of you who still have grandparents alive! How old are you?

Or how old were you when they passed?

I was 16 when my granparents from mom’s side died.

And somewhere in my 20’s when from dad’s side passed.
Although we weren’t in touch at all, not sure why.

I don’t know why I ask, I guess I just realised that I wasn’t around older generation much.

I'm 40 and have a 99 year old grandma (just about) still alive. I have to say, I don't think I want to reach 99. It looks shit.

Other grandparents died when I was 1, 7 and 20.

I was 15 when my first granddad passed, 33 when my second one passed, 26 when I lost a Nan. Both of my other nans are still about and I’m 34. My eldest cousin is 44, the nan we share is almost 90 and recently began ordering flat whites - she’s still raring to go.

I lost my first one in October :( I'm 32. I'm a child of 2 eldest children so that helps. My others are late 80s, and 2x 91.

Also when she passed my grandmother had 14 great grandchildren.

I was between the ages of 18 and 23 when I lost all of my grandparents, all to illness rather than just old age. DH lost his grandfather's approx 10 years ago, but still has both his grandmother's, both at the ripe old age of 95! He's very lucky. Mine GPs were all amazing human beings and I miss them every day (I'm 46 now).

I'm 35 and still have a grandad in his 80s. I have lost my dad however so there's sometimes no rhyme or reason to life.

I’m 31 and I have between 1 and 3 grandparents remaining. My grandmother died when I was in my early 20s. My maternal grandfather is 86.

My dad’s parents were pretty horrible people and stopped contact with us when I was 11. As far as I know they’re still alive.

I'm 28, lost two this year, have two left.

I'm 41 and my nanny is 91 💜 We are very very close and I love her to bits

I'm 41, my last remaining Grandparent is 91 and I swear when the apocalypse comes the only survivors will be cockroaches and my nan.

I'm 40, never knew my grandparents - both grandfathers died before I was born (dad's dad died when he was a small child) and both grandmothers died when I was very small so I have no memories of any of them.

I'm 36 with 3 remaining. One grandfather died when I waw 35. He was 86. The rest are 88 now and, thankfully, still going strong.

I had great grandparents until I was 16.

I have one remaining grandparent, she's 83 and I'm 37

I'm 31, my Mamma (grandma) is 73 so hopefully I have a lot of years left with her :)

One left. I am 42 and she is 95. She's still pretty sharp and although she lives in an annex off my father's house, is pretty independent.

40 and I technically have 2 left

My mums mum and my dad’s step mum.
My mums dad died last month and my dads dad about 13 years ago. I never met my dads mum she died before I was born.

I’m 40 and my gran is 92!

I have 1 granny left I'm 43 my other granny died when I was 41, 1 grandad died when I was 18 months old and the other when I was 20.
All the women in my family have made it to 90+ with 2 great great aunts making it past 100.
Though the men die young (40s&50s) lve already lost all 4 of my uncles

Grandma has 4 great great grandchildren.

What excellent genes

Grandfather dads side passed before I was born (actually my father was only 16). Mums father passed away when I was maybe 4. Grandmas both side passed when I was late teens (17-19).

We didn't reside in the same country as either of them, so I always wonder how nice it would have been growing up with grandparents around

I'm 30 and have all 4 grandparents and my husband is the same age and has all of his too.

I also have a great grandparent who is 97. My children are her great great grandchildren.

Not me, unfortunately, but my best friend is 50, her mum is 91, and her grandmother is 106. Her Mum is about the same age as my grandmother would have been had she not died in an accident - it’s just mindblowing. Both mother and grandmother are still very active not just for their ages but full stop lol. But the grandmother is only just starting to be a great-great-gran.

I'm 42

Fraternal grandmother died when I was a baby, not sure how old she was but fraternal grandfather is now 93 and probably healthier than me.

Maternal grandfather died when I was 19 at 60 years old, Maternal grandmother is 81.

I had 3 great grandparents and all 4 grandparents when I was born.

The last of my great grandparents died when I was about 7 or 8. The first of my grandparents died when I was 16, the second when I was 21. I am now late 20s and still have 2 grandparents and feel very lucky for it!

Lost my last grandparent when I was 26. She outlived both my parents
