For those of you who still have grandparents alive! How old are you?

Or how old were you when they passed?

I was 16 when my granparents from mom’s side died.

And somewhere in my 20’s when from dad’s side passed.
Although we weren’t in touch at all, not sure why.

I don’t know why I ask, I guess I just realised that I wasn’t around older generation much.

I’m 36 and have three left.

I'm 24 - my Dad's mother passed in 2010, my Dad's father passed in 2021, my Mum's parents are both still alive but in their 80s.

I'm 38, 1 grandparent left. She's 88 and her children 64 and 61

My last grandparent died last year (I was 32 and she was 93, but if she hadn’t had a tragic accident I have no doubt she’d still be going now)

My first died (of MND) when I was 11, second of cancer when I was 18, and third old age at 94 in 2021.
Both grandmothers outlived my grandfathers.

They were all amazing and I miss them terribly, especially my most recent loss, it being such a shock.

By the time I was18 and 1 month they'd all died

I’m 36, my Grandparents are 78 and 80.

I'm 39, 40 in a couple of months. I've got one grandparent still going.

One grandad died when I was 4, massive smoker died of lung cancer.
Both Grandmas died of breast cancer, when I was 21 and 32.
Surviving Grandparent would be better off dead at this point, 92 and with fairly severe dementia.
Mum also died of breast cancer 3 years ago.

DH is 28 and has two grandparents left, both of his mother's parents (both in their 70s). His paternal grandmother died in 2021 and his paternal grandfather when he was 13.

I'm 40 this year, and three of my wonderful and adored grandparents died when I was in my mid-20s. The last one left is still going strong in his 90s - he's the one nobody likes and who is (and always has been) a narcissistic arse.

I was about 9, but three died before I was born. My mum had me very late at 44

Two of my grandparents died in 1968. Two died in 1980, a year before I was born.
