Of course not. I'm not fool enough to believe anything that man says.

Kendodd · 07/12/2021 22:20

Right so Johnson is lying (again).
We know he's lying.
He knows we know he's lying.
And yet he continues to lie to us.
Johnson isn't stupid.
He's learnt that like Trump, he can lie as much as he wants and the electorate (enough of) won't care if he's lying or will believe him.
It's our fault he lies so much because we've let him get away unpunished with so many lies.

I don't know where we go from here.

That’s the incredibly frustrating thing. They’ll just repeat the lie over and over, not caring that everyone knows it’s a lie, until they story goes away. It’s not even specifically about the party, it’s just this total impasse where everyone knows the truth, but because they keep repeating the lie, nothing happens.

I really hope someone is just giving them enough time to properly dig themselves a hole, and then they’ll release a picture of the party we all know happened, showing loads of people, boris slap bang in the middle.

But he’d still just look at it and say “all guidelines were followed”

@Antsinmypantsneedtodance

Don't believe him but tbh couldn't care less.

If they partied good for them. Doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things.

Why does it not matter? Many people stayed at home alone even on Christmas Day or couldn't go to weddings, funerals etc etc because these rule makers told them not to. If the rules are so important for health and safety reasons that people have to be isolated from other people then the rule makers would have been following the rules - they didn't because the rules and restrictions weren't that important. It's less about health and more about behaviour control
Awwlookatmybabyspider · 07/12/2021 22:28

I believe more in Santa Claus than anything Boris Johnson says

Thecurliestwurly · 07/12/2021 22:29

Of course he is. There is nothing that these flubbery entitled ball sacks will do that surprises me now.

The footage is quite telling. Do hope there is more incriminating evidence.

Will they get fined though? If they do, surely it's the end. If they deny, then the story that they are self serving and think they are above everyone gets even more entrenched. They are literally digging themselves into a grave.

LubaLuca · 07/12/2021 22:32

Unfortunately lots of his fans think these are admirable traits of his, the brass neck and sense of entitlement. He gives losers all over the country hope, that they too can be shamelessly incompetent and will still succeed.

PinkAndPurpleClouds · 07/12/2021 22:33

Of course he's lying, he's a fucking MP.

WHY though, WHY is all this only coming out now?

Like fucking hell will I be doing ANYTHING he and the tories tell us to do this Christmas. They can all get tae fuck. Hmm I will seeing who I want, WHEN I want, and no twatty haired twunt is going to tell me any different.

thecatfromjapan · 07/12/2021 22:33

Contempt, incompetence, mendacity; contempt, incompetence, mendacity ... on and on and on - on a repeat cycle.

The worst possible Prime Minister ... and during a pandemic.

It's so utterly depressing.

We deserve so much better.

Chrysanthemum5 · 07/12/2021 22:34

I can believe he didn't know it was happening (would you invite him to your party? Imagine him with a drink in him 🤢🤮) but I do think he knows there was a party and he's just lying now

Meltinthemiddle · 07/12/2021 22:34

@tiredanddangerous

BoJo wouldn't acknowledge the truth if it kicked him in the cock.
Omg this literally has made me lol
derxa · 07/12/2021 22:35

I don't caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaare

Romeiswheretheheartis · 07/12/2021 22:35

2% of 199 have voted YABU. Is that you Boris and Carrie?

Brainwave89 · 07/12/2021 22:36

He and a number of others are lying and we arrogant enough to believe that whilst they set the rules, they did not apply to them. We cannot go on like this. Regardless of political views we deserve leaders with some integrity. This government does not have any.

Of course he is lying. But it doesn't matter. The amount of corruption, lies and illegal behaviour which has been exposed from this government and STILL people vote Tory. Fucking mental. we're screwed. And it's the bloody British public screwing themselves

And yet teenagers who had parties got £10k fines and kicked out of university?
NellieBertram · 07/12/2021 22:39

Probably had parties every week while the pubs were closed.

TheNestedIf · 07/12/2021 22:39

There couldn't have been a party, and if there was, everyone was following the rules, but they were following the rules so there couldn't have been a party, and even if there was a party, he wasn't there because he was collecting his massive donation from the Russians postal order.

Beasts!

Sloth66 · 07/12/2021 22:39

Johnson is an amoral man who should never have been allowed any position in public life.

JustDanceAddict · 07/12/2021 22:40

He’s lied from the off.
Brexit bus anyone?
He’s not known for the truth.

I really hope hard evidence come to light and it all goes to shit for the overgrown toddler.

longwayoff · 07/12/2021 22:40

Sre you kidding? YANBU.

logsonlogsoff · 07/12/2021 22:40

If there’s one thing he’s consistent about it’s his willingness to lie to protect himself or his mates.

It does matter when people are denied seeing friends and family at Christmas and waving to sick relatives through windows in care homes whilst the government are partying.
Skysblue · 07/12/2021 22:41

At that time, it was legal to work, but illegal to mix socially. So clearly what happened is Boris said to his staff “This is officially work, wink wink” and then ordered loads of booze and snacks and played party games.

Hey, remember those students that got fined £10000 for having a party? And that guy who died hiding from police at a house party that broke lockdown?

Strange country we live in. I get that some people are untouchable and get away with anything. I’m just surprised that one of them is Boris Johnson.
