To be so upset about Arthur is it normal

I just cannot stop crying. I know it's another thread but listening to those recordings of that poor boy i have been physically sick and so upset. I have cuddled my children so hard. I came from an abusive background but nothing like him.

I feel completely irrational

Coupled with covid what has happened to society 😔

I went to find this thread tonight as I’m going over it all. Can’t seem to get it out of my head tonight. Just so sickened and want so much to help Arthur. Am in tears as I write this.

Meaadamson32 · 15/12/2021 07:15

I read about that interview, what a vial bitch, she should not be in social care..blaming the grandmother, she tried but the police threatened to arrest here if she went to her sons house for violating covid rules! Absolutely disgusting

Meaadamson32 · 15/12/2021 07:15

I'm also fuming with the hairdresser who watched that boy get abused and did NOTHING! she should get charged aswell

canary1 · 15/12/2021 07:24

The lockdown contributed to conditions that allowed these murderers do this- the poor boy should have been at school, and the police threatening the family members to arrest them due to lockdown rules- when the police were called to help him.
Totally agree that SW and the police roles in it- where were they, how could they leave him in that situation when the family members had told them their concerns.
Can’t bear it. Sick to my stomach. Him little cry of ‘nobody loves me’ will and should haunt society forever

😢 it's so sad, there's a couple more in the news recently. These are just the ones we hear about though. I don't want to depress anyone, but recent stats from 21 show that one child a week is killed in the UK.

HumpreyDowny · 15/12/2021 13:11

Thank you for sharing @Opalfeet how incompetent are these SW, how absolutely hardened ...The least these people could do is to unreservedly say sorry and look for improvement.

@canary1 the finality of it all, and that video are going to haunt us for a long time... Hope that there is a heaven and Arthur feels our love and he is happy...really the only way i can cope with it is to think this. i was fortunate enough in my life not to have experienced this extent of grief before, but after Arthur, i do understand people who are going through a grieving process..

HumpreyDowny · 15/12/2021 13:26

In the video she is essentially saying 'well, we are human we will make mistakes, 10-15 minutes in the door, we dont have time, our job is to get close to the family not remove the children, etc. etc.' Always excuses! No effing we are sorry, no suggestion of how it can be improved...i am disgusted by these people's inability to have any introspection and complacent suggestions that it is all well, 'only' 50 kids per year are killed it could have been more, we cant do more than this....before this case i had no idea about this level of incompetence in child protection, and was assuming that if someone reports to ss, they would act on it...

HumpreyDowny
I feel as you do. Will be forever sickened to my core at his cries.

Am I wrong for being raging that my other half fell asleep when he was meant to be watching our 18m old?

Saraj09876 · 29/12/2021 00:41

Sorry posted in wrong place!

There's a march for Arthur happening next Saturday:

Attorney-general has applied to the Court of Appeal to increase the jail sentences given to the killers of six-year-old Arthur Labinjo-Hughes.

ilovebrie8 · 31/12/2021 18:58

I hope this happens and they never ever get out, nothing has sickened me as much as this dreadful abuse ...hope they rot forever. Poor wee soul.

newyearBear · 01/01/2022 07:42

They should never be released. Currently Hughes has an end in sight and Tustin knows she may or may not be released after her time. Neither of them deserve any hope of getting out of prison.

I have recurring dreams that Arthur is alive and well and I feel like we've saved him, but suddenly he's screaming and I can't save him in time. I wake up feeling really sad.

Sportslady44 · 02/01/2022 15:14

Will she know its being reviewed I hope so hope they are scared while they are waiting.
