Just that really

I have a loved one who has bipolar disorder and to me, this looked very much like a manic episode. If so, I hope he gets the help he needs.

He's just useless

SandAndSea · 23/11/2021 00:36

For me, the question is why are the media giving this so much attention?

Knowing Boris & his shenanigans this was all a conveniently timed little piece of prime time theatre to take the heat off something else.
He's a very clever man & uses the bumbling fool persona as a ploy.
Unless he really has lost his marbles!
Though on the other hand how convenient to say that Boris is struggling with long Covid & a new PM will take over - saves a lot of face 🤔

JessieLongleg · 23/11/2021 01:04

To many edibles they can sneak up on you lol like young women lol

RoseRedRoseBlue · 23/11/2021 01:14

He is a total embarrassment, and I thank God everyday that I never voted for him or his corrupt, inept party at the last election.

BooseysMom · 23/11/2021 01:17

Now would be the time to show some statesmanship and polish rather than bumble about like drunk Uncle Nigel at a wedding.

Brilliant Grin

Did anyone see the news the other day where he was visiting somewhere and playing Connect 4 with a child and he mumbled "very complicated " as he was inserting the counter?! It was a just brief moment and was hilarious the way they portrayed him. If 'Have I got news for you' don't use that clip I'd be very surprised. It was so obviously put in deliberately Grin

@PastMyBestBeforeDate

Cheese I believe so. PMing doesn't attract a huge salary and he's not one for detail.
Anyone who believes BoJo is skint is as bonkers as he is, this is a man who just a fortnight ago in a televised interview described one rate of 250k as "chicken feed" 🤔😠🤯
Redshoeblueshoe · 23/11/2021 01:32

Redrosebluerose could we possibly be related 😂

WaterAndRichTea · 23/11/2021 01:33

People saying Boris is skint 😂

CheeseMmmm · 23/11/2021 01:35

@WaterAndRichTea

People saying Boris is skint 😂
Well I mean. Yeah.

No way.

Carrie well off but apparently she's unhappy in marriage and has hidden her money so it's safe :/

Itsnotallaboutyoubaby · 23/11/2021 01:36

I agree. Dangerous man masquerading as a buffoon

@MushMonster

He is just distracting us all from the big events. He will win an Oscar at this rate.
This. It's all calculated.

Thanks for sharing this. I heard JV tell this story and have thought it needs to be broadcast.

Redshoeblueshoe · 23/11/2021 01:45

I was just about to post something funny, but I agree it's all calculated, so that wouldn't be helpful

Itsnotallaboutyoubaby · 23/11/2021 01:46

Ah, sorry @Antiqueanniesmagiclanternshow
Missed your second post with the right link

Hawkins001 · 23/11/2021 01:51

It's possible, unless it was a Machiavelli, tatic for one reason or another

me4real · 23/11/2021 02:25

I think he was just trying to be funny.

I have bipolar- an episode doesn't just last a few minutes and isn't defined by one incident usually, nor is a diagnosis based on that.

If he went on to display a string of out of character behaviours and moods lasting weeks/months then that could be bipolar, but he hasn't.

Yes, some people have rapid cycling bipolar, but they have normal bipolar that lasts longer previously.

Boris has always had a unique personality, so this isn't 100% new for him. He's said some weird things, so this isn't entirely marked changes in mood and behaviour (which are needed for a diagnosis of bipolar.)

Prince Harry, I think might get a diagnosis of it in the end (it'd enable him to come back from all that's gone on) but I could be wrong.

stilldumdedumming · 23/11/2021 03:08

My politically sharp ds says that when he was talking about painting people on a box to make it look like a bus, that was to distract Google searches from the bus sign about money going to the nhs post brexit. Could this be something similar. He is not super clever but he is extremely canny.

stilldumdedumming · 23/11/2021 03:09

And manipulative. The way he said it several times is a give away here.

midsomermurderess · 23/11/2021 03:13

I was wondering if he thinks he can still do the turn up and wing it schtick he used to do. I know it was all a bit smoke and mirrors and reliant on what some saw as his charm, and a willingness to go along with it. No longer, it seems. Certainly not a 'dead cat' ruse. Even one as shameless as Johnston wouldn't make such a spectacle of himself in front of an influential audience to the point of evoking pity.

Slashbackblazer · 23/11/2021 03:19

@Cheerfulcharlie

Perhaps it was the after effects of a visit to Peppa Pig World. I seem to remember being quite traumatised from it myself come to think about it.

midsomermurderess · 23/11/2021 03:25

It's funny to see some people here still calling him 'Boris'. I was reading at the weekend that even in strong Tory seats, that's increasingly being dropped, people now calling him 'Johnston'.
