To think we shouldn’t treat a prisoner like this?

A concrete slab to sleep on, no television, no music? Surely that’s just not right?

There are pedophiles in women's prisons...

His 3rd victim wasn't actually a pedophile, yes he was a domestic abuser against women and probably wasn't a nice man but he was not a child abuser. Maudsley intended on a rampage that day, to kill as many as possible. That was not targeting pedophiles, that was just to satisfy his need to kill. Luckily his needs were satisfied after just 2.

@Awwlookatmybabyspider

A medal for what exactly.

Killing Paedos!!! that’s what. I’d personally give him a Knighthood i don’t know about a medal.
I’ve got no problem whatsoever with saying that. Nor will I be offering any apologies

Good God, and these people get to vote.

And sit on juries.

I'm wondering how some people who think he should be allowed to continue his (in their heads) heroic mission to rid the world of paedophiles would consider his mental state?

Do you think he is a sane individual on a crusade - and therefore safe and predictable in his reaction to guards, bystanders etc.? How do you square that with his rather intense methods of killing and torture?

Or do you think he has mental issues? If so, how on earth would you assume that he'd be stable enough to only kill abusers? Even if that were true, could you say the same of those he recruits to help him?

I think it's safe to assume that this is an extremely unusual and unfortunate situation, but it is born of necessity, to protect everyone around him. I'm sure they've not arrived here without trying other proven methods first.

Dreadful life for the poor man, but I would assume it's come about for entirely necessary reasons.

(God, I hate the casual use of 'paedos'. Vile.)

And sit on juries.

Exactly.

When Richard Huckle was murdered in prison a couple of years back, people were saying that same thing about his murderer- that he should get a medal/ a knighthood/ let out early... the man who murdered Huckle was himself a prolific, violent and dangerous sex offender.

Fortunately noone took any notice of the 'medals for murderers ' brigade then, either.

We don't know what motivation was for murdering the paedophiles and domestic abuser. It sounds great there are three less of them in the world but it doesn't mean that he did this as a result of sound judgment and for retribution. He said if he was given a bird he promised not to eat it. Hardly eat words of a mentally balanced individual.
