How often do you talk to your DP on the phone during the day?

Just as the title says. Both working, me from home in a job that needs me to have a headset on. Also I'm easily distracted so every time I stop what I'm doing it takes me an age to get back into it.

I'm curious what others do as I'm feeling like I'm being unreasonable to not want/need to check in throughout the day and wait until we're both home to chat.

We don't, we both have very full on jobs. The occasional text and not every day, usually in relation to finishing late, DS or what we're having for dinner

He is controlling in other ways OP?
I rarely contact my DP during the day and only ever call him during the day if it's an emergency. I see him before and after work, no need to speak to him throughout the day.

We're both lucky with work in that sense! I know people who come to work at my business from very corporate places are always gobsmacked that we don't care if they reply to texts etc - one said she had to lock her phone in her desk drawer every morning at her old job (not sensitive work, just so they couldn't even look at it).

Depends on the kind of job too I guess - can't imagine a nurse or a call centre worker taking timed calls or a lorry driver chitchatting on their phone. We both do desk jobs that are more project-based than constant tasks, so some days I can get to 3pm and realise I haven't had a wee or looked at my phone or drunk any water, other days I have 4 hours of productivity and then I'm waiting on other people so the rest of the day is quite free...lots of time for sending my grown man husband Tiktoks personal admin
