AIBU to think this is absolutely bat shit…..snag tights related

Has anyone else been watching the snag tights/applicant for social media position debacle? I have no involvement in this but have been watching from the sidelines in utter bafflement and now I don’t know if I’m missing something or if this person is truly reaching in order to take offence

So snag tights were recruiting. This person applied, was asked to do a video interview, said yes and was then not interviewed and when snag came back they said all positions were filled, they’d missed her reply and were but would be back in touch when recruiting again. This person believes it was because snag had looked at their social media and decided they no longer wanted to interview them.

This has erupted on both sides with this person posting on multiple social media sites and snag owner Brie seeming to apologise over and over. Admit a mistake was made and that steps were being put in place to resolve moving forward.

That’s it in a tiny nutshell but there’s so much more now including accusations of doxxing.

Is anyone else been reading? AIBU to think the applicant has taken it too far now and needs to move on?

If anyone wants to waste any time going down this rabbit hole, look up violetvixanne on Instagram. All will become crystal clear not but basically Snag have dodged a bullet there, whether intentionally or not.
I’ve just had a look at her IG and can’t see anything bad, is there anything in particular you object to? Her colour? Her weight?

One of the first things that come up on her twitter feed is a video of her masturbating herself. Really fucking grim.

but she wasn't just an applicant if they'd mentioned finding a time for interview so there wouldn't be 250 to check, only those short listed for interview.

It sounds like she knew that her social media didn’t show her in a good light as at no point has anybody said that it was checked and yet that is the reason she thinks they missed her email.

Just looked at her Twitter and she's basically posting pornography of herself. If snag HAD decided not to interview after seeing her social media they would have been 100% correct. What has gone wrong with gen z that they think it's totally normal and fine to post themselves wanking on public social media and think there will be no consequences to it?

She didn't get a job/interview so she decided to claim it was due to her being X, Y, Z and try and smear the company. If she had got the job she would've took offence to something someone did at some point and smeared them online calling them racialist, ableist, fat-ist, homophobic etc.

So probably what happened is a slight improvement for snag on what could've happened if they employed her, as if she'd been working for them people might've taken it more seriously, rather than it just seeming like sour grapes.

Wow, I’d be unhireable if that were my Twitter, wouldn’t everybody who isn’t going for a job in porn be?? (I haven’t looked at it myself , might pass now!) How was her complaint not very easy to shut down??

@timeisnotaline I think Snag tried to shut it down by posting the email chain for transparency when VV started making unfounded claims against them, publically naming the employee who had made the mistake, and demanding that employee be fired. But that attempt backfired because Snag failed to remove VV's legal first name (not last name) from an email, hence the accusations of doxxing.

@timeisnotaline Because no one is allowed to 'discriminate' nowadays even if it's to practice discernment and not hire twitter-wankers. Surprised if she hasn't said it's 'wh*rephobic' too.

Because they’ve been lied to that platforms like Onlyfans are completely anonymous and safe, plus even if someone in real life finds your pics and videos they’re not allowed to criticise your choice because it’s slut shaming.

Of course, outside of the internet bubble, things are very different. Especially if you’re looking to essentially be a social media ambassador for a business. I mean, Snag may be woke idiots, but it’s still a business.

Snag had a lucky escape. I feel like even if the applicant had interviewed and been unsuccessful, they'd have still brought about the ridiculous cancel culture witch-hunt they are currently pursuing, their sense of entitlement is stifling.

Aside from anything else, can you imagine working with someone like that? It would be exhausting.
