OK, so we both work F-T. I take the our eldest to his hobbies after school, as H does not get home in time. This means I have stopped the two hobbies I have as they clash with DS1's hobbies. Its also a pain as they are 20mins drive away which means I end up in some crappy cafe for an hour trying to entertain ds2 whilst DS1 is in his classes.

H worked from home this week so I asked him to take DS1 to his class on Thurs. H said 'but I do archery then', 'yes' said I ' but you can also do that on Sat instead' 'That could be quite good' said H ' I can do it in daylight then.'

However, H has just decided to fire his arrows in the garden.

And they all broke. Some how he has reframed this as 'my fault (if you had 'let' me go on Thurs I wouldn't have 'had' to practice in the garden and they would not have broke Hmm

He is now huffing and puffing and trying to claim this means I am not supporting him to do his hobbies. Confused

Can I do the Tl:Dr?

DH was playing with his toys in the garden. DH broke his toys. DH cried and blamed me. Aibu to think DH isn't a toddler and it isn't my fault?

Tears are artistic license

Put him on the naughty step

I have not read the full thread. I used to do archery how did he manage to break his arrows? We practiced in an old barns with a concrete floors and I never broke one. Occasionally a tip would have to be mended. We had to take a course to prove we had understanding on how to shoot and health and safety. I would never fire my arrows in a garden. Unless you have a lot of land its just not safe and a stray arrow could serious hurt someone. Did he set up a net to catch the arrows? It doesn't sound like it. This man is a fool and he should not have access to a bow. Every archery I know puts safety first.

I'd buy him some of those kids plastic arrows with red suckers on the end as they're more suited to his maturity

Well, I've been out flinging pointy sticks in the woods today and I can report that I didn't break a single arrow. I did manage to knock the nock off one (there were quite a lot of trees, this being a wood and not a back garden), but other than that my arrows all came back unharmed.

Me two. 12 x 6 arrows fired by ds and I. All unharmed.
