Hi I’ve been gifted this LV wallett for a special occasion celebration by DH and I don’t want to sound ungrateful but won’t it just be hidden in my bag most of the time? It’s genuine so cost a lot of money but it’s a wallett isn’t it - so would it be just in my bag or would I carry it around as you would a clutch?

I was gifted a tan Gucci wallet that's too big for the bag I use these days (a small x the body bag) but too small to be a clutch as I can't fit keys or phone in it. Shame as it's lovely and I did use it alot when I used a big tote bag for work

Just use it as a purse like you would any other one, I wouldn't buy a purse I dislike just because it's in my bag, it's for you, you will see it every time you use it, no one else cares.

I was given a LV bag by an ex.

I really don’t like them (the classic pattern) I had to be honest as it’s very expensive. He returned it and asked me to choose what I liked (I got a bag from a little shop in Covent Garden all were hand stitched saddle bags) I’m not at all bothered by a designer item at all but understand that for sown giving this as a gift means something.

It's a lovely present, I don't think I would want a fridge instead as mentioned upthread, that reminds me of the expensive bag thread where someone suggested buying a bench instead.

I would imagine that, when OP wrote about it being hidden, she meant that it isn't part of an outfit the way a handbag would be. Not that the only point of it was to show it off!!!
How lovely your DH wanted you to have something really special, OP. (And boo to the person who said it wasn't a special gift - it was, it is really high quality and not something the OP would have treated herself to. She deserves it.).

I love my lv purse. I just put it in my bag(s) but I love Louis Vuitton haha.

I think it's a lovely gift, and LV always gains in value.
