OK I probably am being horrible but I couldn't help but laugh hearing that people are calling Ulrika Johnson 4 X 4 - aparently it has really upset her.

OP posts:

Jeez, cages have been rattled!! I have 3 kids by 2 dads. I didn't get engaged every time a bloke said he loved me however, or got pregnant. Took a little time, weighed up the pros and cons...and used a condom Poor bird, it doesn't matter how attractive you are percieved to be - or how thin - self esteem is not an easy thing to get. I hope you find it UJ

dara · 15/12/2007 21:32

Funny isn't it...she has too many past loves, but at the same time she has a kid with everyone she shags. It's just nasty and bitter. You sound like old women peering your prettier, more successful neighbour.

Sandies · 15/12/2007 21:43

Still awaiting your point Dara. QUOTE

Human nature I'm afraid, to watch the successful fall. Low self esteem is a killer of compassion.

TinyTimLivesinVictorianSqualor · 15/12/2007 21:58

Sandies, I think the point is that either Ulrika has shagged evry bloke in town or she has a child with each guy she goes to bed with, whereas this thread seems to claim that she ash done both.
(At least thats how I read Dara's post!)

Sandies · 15/12/2007 22:13

cheers tiny, made no sense to me until now x

dara · 15/12/2007 23:08

TinyTim, exactly.
You can't have it both ways, curtain-twitchers.

Heathcliffscathy · 16/12/2007 00:21

ooooo yes 'pc gone mad' to suggest that it might be fair to treat men and women the same in this respect.

KITTYmaspudding · 16/12/2007 08:09

Heather Mills was at our local soft play place 't'other day.
Obviously SHE wasn't bouncing around. She looked really miserable, just like most of the mothers there .

WiFi that's a perspicacious comment about her having been on the job, very true. However, good luck to her. Hope she gets a shed load of money for it.

Monkeytrousers · 16/12/2007 12:54

Scotia, there are lots of us who defend Mills. If you don't agree with bullying, that's all you can do

ruty · 16/12/2007 12:59

what a horrible thread. Agree with Elizabeth and sophable. Together. At the same time. [And MT]

ruty · 16/12/2007 13:00

And there have been quite a few people who have defended Heather Mills from various slangings, i think.

TenLordsaLapin · 16/12/2007 13:03

I can't believe this one is still rumbling on!

Scotia · 16/12/2007 13:17

Monkey and Ruty, I'm glad to hear it, just not something I have seen. Now, on to Jordan and Kerry Katona, or dare I mention swmnbn ...

And fwiw, I detest bullying. I'd be very surprised if you could find anything I said on this thread or any others to be bullying.

I never joined in with the joke, although I have seen much more offensive 'jokes' at the expense of celebs on here, especially at the likes of Heather for having lost her leg. But all this 'we mustn't disrespect her (UJ) because she's a woman' stuff hit me as a bit hypocritical when she's proven to be no respecter of other women's feelings herself. It's not bullying to state that opinion.

TinyTimLivesinVictorianSqualor · 16/12/2007 13:20

Jordan isn't that bad tbh, her SMA(?) crap in hello/ok? was pretty stupid, but I doubt she thought anything of it. That's just being ignorant not a bad person.

As for Kerry Katona, I felt really bad for her on Jonathan Ross when he was going on about her mother, I have no contact with mine and don't want it, and to be continuously bombarded about it on a chatshow when pg with hormones everywhere I probably would've broken down tbh.

They're just people, yes they make mistakes and yes we can say 'God, they're dumb, how stupid of them' but going on and on about them is just as dumb.

Scotia · 16/12/2007 13:26

Yes Tiny, I wondered if JR was acting as an agent for Kerry's mother. Not nice to put her on the spot like that. Sorry to hear of your situation with your mother too.

TinyTimLivesinVictorianSqualor · 16/12/2007 13:32

Thanks Not really a problem to me though, I don't go on Jonathan Ross, but I think I'd have been a lot more vocal than kerry.

Monkeytrousers · 16/12/2007 18:56

Scotia I haven't read all your posts, or all of the posts on this thread, I was referring to the media bullying of Mills - which is something many people use to justify their 'opinions' on her and other women in the public eye. I have no idea if you agree or not. I was just saying there are people on MN who defend them.

PaulaYatesbiggestfan · 16/12/2007 19:00

hear hear ruty
sometimes i despair of women - eager to 'tear down' their own

ruty · 17/12/2007 10:05

just think it is odd that you don't get threads on MN saying ''Colin Farrell, what a slag' or any other male sleb you care to name...

KITTYmaspudding · 17/12/2007 13:56

Male celebs don't make a thing of their relationships though. UJ is portrayed as the "poor woman" by the media, the victim of shitty men.
For me that is one crucial difference in how she is reacted to.

ruty · 17/12/2007 14:01

well she hasn't made a thing about it as far as i know. The media are misogynistic so of course they are going to portray women in a different way. Do you ever, for example, get a young man newsreader with a fifty something woman newsreader? Always the other way around.

jinglebells2shoessmells · 17/12/2007 14:04

oh ruty I am sure there was one saying just that

KITTYmaspudding · 17/12/2007 14:04

But Ruty, she's paid money to be in these crap magazines (which I read btw!). She knows what they ae going to print, she tells her story.
She isn't an innocent bystander!!!

ruty · 17/12/2007 14:05

well then she's making money for her family. I don't think that deserves judgement for having too many partners.

KITTYmaspudding · 17/12/2007 14:20

ruty the way I see it is if she puts herself out there(as she does) then she will be judged.
If she does not want to be then she wouldn't tell her story to millions many times.
She knows that judgment comes with the territory and I'd be willing to bet that you care much more about it than she does!
