My partner users my towels, flannel etc

AIBU to expect to have my own towel, flannel etc? My partner and I have lived together for just over 2 years now and it annoys me that they keep using 'my' towels etc.

I don't mean as in I have my own set, like mine are green ones and yours are the blue ones, but once we start a clean set of towels we should stick to our own set, or am I being too fussy?

@Dojacatpaws Someone needs to be the boss of washing, apparently. Using a flannel vs. a loofah or whatever is a preference. Using the same flannel more than once, or not putting your loofah on the radiator to dry so it stays wet all the time and becomes a bacteria colony, or not washing your legs, or just using your hands and some body wash means you're still walking around filthy with dead skin and grease clinging to yourself. It seems lots of people were never taught to wash properly these days- even poor victorians washing up in a basin with cold water and a sliver of tar soap knew you needed some kind of cloth or sponge to actually clean yourself.

we use flannels (or wash cloths) to soap up in the shower/bath.
remove make up
wash face
exfoliate

We have our own towels once out and dh goes mad if he thinks someone has used his , although 9/10 times its because he has forgot which one is his
Going to allocate 2 each now so we all know

@Fluffycloudland77 he is my husband not a tenant!!

Having sex means our blood mixes or mine does at least with him

We have two children and a third baby on the way

Sharing a toothbrush with the man I kiss with my tongue does not bother me

This is being discussed on loose women today…

Your blood mixes during sex? How?

cultkid · 15/10/2021 12:54

Because we have sex when I have my period

I don't understand how this bothers anyone

The whole skid marks are very worrying.. I wouldn't be married to someone who couldn't wipe their bum

That's why we use wet wipes and shower

Dojacatpaws · 15/10/2021 13:20

Wroxie, jeez I've been doing it wrong all these years. I just use a bar of soap, I am a filthy disgusting dead skin ridden beast

A man having sex with a woman on her period is not mixing their blood together. Unless he has a cut on on his penis I suppose.

Menstrual blood isn’t proper blood, it’s a womb lining that broke down. It’s not blood from your vascular compartment. Tell your dentist you do it if you don’t believe me.

I'm sorry, but that's just complete crap. I use bar soap and my hands, and I am not walking around filthy with dead skin and grease clinging to me. It's the soap that removes the dirt, not the flannel/loofah.

When you wash your hands, do you use a flannel or similar, or do you just use your hands?

You mean tell the dentist about the toothbrush sharing.....not the sex on the period bit!?
