The UK is a wonderful place to live

The sun is shining, the birds are singing, why would anyone want to be anywhere else. In fact the 1000s of migrants arriving everyday are a clear indication of how wonderful the UK is under the stewardship of the wise and entertaining Boris Johnson. Just think how awful it would be if Jeremy Corbyn was PM wearing cardigans and still searching for the magic money tree.
Everything is great, the UK is wonderful.

@TheSunIsStillShining

You are either deliberately acting as someone who has lost their marbles or simply totally oblivious to reality. Glad to get some insight, didn't know what my life was missing. Your bar is extremely low that not having vultures sparks this utter joy in you. Any other imbecile reasons as to why this is such a wonderful country?
The crows sparked joy in me this morning, then some time later someone came along questioning my ornithological knowledge suggesting they were vultures. I was merely pointing out that this suggestion seemed implausible.

I think the real issue is not just you being delusional, but also the fact that you lack all sense of humour or understanding of subtext.
But hey, I'm sure the dm, express and others love having you as their target audience

Fifilafrog · 10/10/2021 21:20

The country (as in the land mass) is indeed wonderful. The shower of 💩 running it is in real danger of making it uninhabitable though.

Innovationstandard · 10/10/2021 21:29

TheSunIsStillShining

You're taking this all way too seriously man

TheSunIsStillShining · 10/10/2021 21:41

@Innovationstandard

Toddlerteaplease · 10/10/2021 22:34

When the weather is nice. I don't think there is a better place to be. Beautiful scenery and loads of history and culture. What's not to like.

Toddlerteaplease · 10/10/2021 22:36

And I love our National arguments about how to pronounce Scone, which order the jam and cream goes on. And wether to dunk or not dunk.

DeborahAnnabel · 10/10/2021 22:40

I love it here.

Our wonderful steward is in Spain now in wonderful Costa Del Sol. Probably, get tired from his wonderful stewardship and bored with wonderful UK.
MrsLCSofLichfield · 10/10/2021 23:02

I love crows and Jeremy Corbyn.

shinynewapple21 · 10/10/2021 23:09

Not sure I totally agree with the reasoning behind your post OP but I certainly agree that there are plenty of worse places to live and we have some beautiful countryside .

shinynewapple21 · 10/10/2021 23:17

OK OP I'm reading a bit more and 'getting' the sarcasm now. Would stick with my original point though that there are far worse places to live .

Cheeserton · 10/10/2021 23:48

AYBU to be on glue?

antoniawhite · 11/10/2021 01:01

I love this country and it breaks my heart to see it being eviscerated by the current shower of greedy, self-serving, callous, utterly inhuman and selfish bastards in government.

Gothichouse40 · 11/10/2021 01:31

Im so glad for you. Pity tis not the same for everyone.

jgw1 · 11/10/2021 07:28

The sun is rising, the birds are singing, another day dawns bright and cheerful in the merry old land of England.

What a pleasure it is to be alive.

Winter can be stunning. I love in south east and crystal clear sunny windless (and cold!!) winter days are common

I feel for you Your depression and bitterness seeps through

I’m going to take a punt that you don’t enjoy your job, don’t have many friends or hobbies and your family isn’t close.

If my life was like that, I’d probably want to blame the government too

lazylinguist · 11/10/2021 08:33

Not sure how anyone can read this thread and not see that the OP is on a pisstake tbh.

Of course, it's not really a very effective pisstake though. Because however shit various things are at the moment, the fact is that we are lucky to live here compared with lots of places. And yes, the fact that people are willing to risk life and limb to flee here is an indication of that. That doesn't mean we shouldn't ever complain and protest about the status quo though.
