What would you think if you saw a grown woman roller skating in the street?

Honestly? I am seriously thinking of getting a pair. I ordered my four year old a pair of roller skates for Xmas, and I used to ice skate when I was younger and loved it. I would like to teach him but I would also like to take him to skate parks etc as something we can do together. What would you honestly think about someone my age roller skating about the place? I’ll be doing it with my kids though

Seems like an odd thing to say but it depends how they carry themselves off. I live in London and seeing people use rollerblades or scooters to get to work is not that uncommon. Most of the time it just normal people who have worked out that it is a quick and efficient mode of transport from A to B and I think 'fair play to you'. You do get a sizable minority of hipster types who just reek of 'look at me' as they skate backwards through traffic while posting on Instagram or wax their spitfire pilot moustache and the mean bit of me just hopes they fall down an open manhole cover.

If I saw an adult roller skating I would imagine they must be a very odd person, and would not want them skating near me.

Why, in case you might catch ‘odd person’ off them?

I be seriously envious as I have zero balance and have never been able to skate!!
