Pink Floyd are rubbish

I wfh and usually have the radio on. DH has left Absolute Classic Rock on from when he was washing the dishes last night. It has been enjoyable and listened to some good tunes (obviously I am old - well 41).

Heard 2 Pink Floyd songs and my god they are awful. Long, pretentious and boing! Listened to a few on Apple Music and wanted to kill myself - a funeral dirge would be more jolly.

I know they have lots of fans so please tell me IANBU

I like them but then I like Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan, so anything long and maudlin is right up my street

It is really that it is not to the OP’s taste.

I don’t enjoy the Rolling Stones, but I wouldn’t start claiming they are not actually any good, in much the same way I wouldn’t start claiming that David Beckham wasn’t much of a footballer, afternoon tea was vile or red post boxes were an eyesore.

My DH's tells me that he knew I was the woman for him when I spotted that Robert Plant sounded just like Steve Marriot but not as good.
I agree that different people will have different musical taste the disagreement and arguments are entertaining.
I believe that the only good Bob Dylan song is a cover of a Bob Dylan song (I love the Byrds cover album) Yes that's my opinion but I believe I'm right!!!

Not a great fan, I thought they were rubbish when I saw them live in Docklands Arena years ago.

But, DSOTM at London Laserium (late 80's?) was fantastic.
