Sore throat, hacking cough, bit of a cold but not much, feeling wiped out but just not getting any better? I’m up all night coughing and can hardly swallow.

Continually testing negative for Covid via lateral flow and have taken a PCR?

DS has now gone down with it. Tested negative with a lateral flow yesterday but am booking him in for a PCR today.

YES! I had every covid symptom except lack of taste and smell. PCRs all negative.

A friend's dp had repeated negative PCR tests despite feeling dreadful and very short of breath.

He's just tested positive for..... TB!!!!

Yes same here! It’s been 4 weeks now and still run down. A family member of mine ended up in critical care as it had developed in to meningitis but all the same symptoms.

My SD is miles better but was on antibiotics for it weeks ago… just as we were starting to get over it my partner started with It a few days ago and he never, ever gets ill so it must be something nasty. All have had tonsil ulcers with it.

It's taking us down 1 at a time and to top it all off we all got food poisoning from McDonald's when I didn't have the energy to cook.

Yep, I had a negative LFT and home pcr being delivered today.
Dd tested positive for covid on Friday but she wasn’t here as they were al at PGL last week and I’ve had symptoms since Tuesday

It's in my house too, ds and dh have it, hoping I don't catch it!

Me! I have a headache, dizziness, sore throat, really heavy cold, fever and night sweats! Constant negative LFTs and a negative PCR test. I could barely sleep last night as I’m full of cold. DP was really bad despite testing negative several times.

I forgot how rotten a cold can make you feel!

@Clocktopus Questionable Jogging Bottoms of Sadness We've had negative PCRs but baby DS and DH have temps of 38+... DS is so whingey and DH... well DH has got out THE joggers (fleece lined for gods sake) and is doing The Poorly Voice.

DH has a nasty sore throat/head cold bug this week, caught from school I imagine. DD and I have so far dodged it.

@TheQueef - I think they're still trying to work out where he might have caught it. Our city does however get the occasional case brought in.

If anyone is having trouble sleeping try propping yourself up a bit. I found it helpful.

This (or similar) went round here about 4 years ago. Not much of a cold but a fight for breath, cough till you throw up, won't go away cough. I went to the doctors with it which is unheard of for me and he said that they had seen loads of people with it and if the lungs were clear they were prescribing asthma inhalers! I was a bit dubious but it worked.....and yes we have noro round here now too.

Does anyone have the cough/sore throat without the runny nose/cold? I can hardly speak my throat’s so sore and coughing like nothing else, but no cold symptoms (yet).

A couple of friends have what they described as a cold and hay fever. They’ve both received negative test results but agreed that we’ve all now been programmed to think everything is COVID and have forgotten that there were and still are other viruses around.
Maybe it is like a Freshers flu

DD2's had an overnight in hospital with it as her cough tends to be on the weak side so her lungs clog up with crap quite a lot. It's lingering but she's back on form picking fights with her sister.

Was definitely not Covid (hospital checked and double-checked and I tend to believe them)

Yep, sore throat here for a few days, several negative lateral flow tests. Woke up this morning with a cough so pcr test booked for later this morning.

Yes both h and I had it, ds2 mildly and ds1 not at all - we are London based. Due to family event and children back in school we tested to confirm what we thought and we were right not covid. We ended up going private as it was quickest and easiest. We are both still coughing over a week later. Grim but improving. It was the first time in 12 years that was able to be ill and go to bed and rest - once I done the school run. It really bloody helped. Poor h experienced what I usually do and had to go in to work as it was the start of a new job - he just hid in a machine so as not to spread it. Joys of self employment.

Yes I had it this week caught off DS who brought it back from Leeds festival. He said loads have it at 6th form college. Not had a cough for years forget how utterly shit it is. All negative tests here too. Just had to ride it out with hot drinks and paracetamol and two days off work.

I think 18yo ds has it. He rarely gets ill. He's had it over a week but is now running again and just has occasional chesty cough. All Covid tests negative. Thankfully the rest of us don't seem to have caught it....yet. His started with sore throat, headache, fatigue and congestion then moved into a cough.

My son did a couple of weeks ago - like tonsillitis, awful cough, sore ears/throat, brief temperature. LFT's all negative so did a PCR to be sure and that was negative too

Yep. Youngest is like this just now. Four nights of constant coughing. He had a fever on Friday afternoon. He is getting better but it's still lingering....
Tested negative PCR test Thursday.

My eldest now complaining this morning of similar symptoms....
