So where are all the middle class parents buying their drugs these days?

Best friend of twenty years had a 'cheeky joint' last night. Sister in law regularly takes coke in social situations. Other sister in law is still a raver and takes MDMA on the reg.

Am I living under a rock or something? Where does one procure such things? I'm genuinely curious. And sheltered, obvs.

Can't answer your question OP but my neighbour 2 doors down must smoke it by the bucket load - my
Line dried clothes stink of weed. Getting rather pissed off with it tbh.

It was funny when our towels stunk once but when DD's school shirts and vests reek of it, it's pissing me off.

As you were.

@Plumtree391

I couldn't be bothered with cryptocurrency, I don't even know how you get it.

Why they can't take Visa I do not understand - or paypal.

Cash in a plain brown envelope is the best way.

I'm not sure if the question is serious, but online transactions are all very cloak-and-dagger, with TOR, encryption and other tricks to make it hard to track. If you paid at the end by visa that would rather blow all that subterfuge out of the water. It would be very easy for law-enforcement agencies to gather evidence on both parties to the transaction.

Cryptocurrency is more of a pain in the arse to use, but it does make the transactions much harder for third parties to pin down. (Bitcoin is actually not very anonymous at all, but newer variants, like monero, are.)

Do none of these nice middle class drug users care that their drugs are almost certainly being delivered via County Lines and involve the exploitation of vulnerable children?

Bake cakes for the PTA in the morning, buy raffle tickets for the NSPCC in the afternoon, contribute to the exploitation of a poor black child in the evening?

Plumtree391 · 11/09/2021 20:01

Gordon Bennett, it is becoming a bit wearing with posters constantly trotting out 'middle class' in connection with drug use and the 'Bake cakes for the PTA in the morning....' is a bit much. Most people go to work!

Children are exploited all over the world in many different scenarios, as has been much outlined earlier in this thread.

The police know where you can buy drugs, especially those in the Drug Squad (Narcotics if you are in the USA).

So the answer is no, you don't care about the exploitation of vulnerable children then?

The police do know where you can buy drugs. That's the beauty of County Lines, the actual dealers don't need to get their hands dirty, they leave that to society's most vulnerable children and society doesn't only not care it delights in creating the market. If one exploited kid gets removed from the streets by the police, there's plenty more where he came from.

Theluggage15 · 11/09/2021 20:24

Oh dear Plumtree. Just be honest and say you don’t give a shit. It’s a bit wearing people like you minimising the issues.

Bobsyer · 11/09/2021 20:25

@nc8766

Erm, from their dealer?
How do you get a dealer?!

I'm a middle aged mum that wouldn't mind a joint. I haven't smoked in 20 years. I don't know where to start.

PS I don't have chronic pain or anything I just fancy it!

3scape · 11/09/2021 20:30

Nice and drug user ... terribly contradictory. Cold hearted bastards out for themselves and their precious high and no ducks given to all the human lives that are trashed by their entitled existence.

No ethical highs out there.

But sure. Nice people. I'm sure they're vegans too Wink

HappyVagabond · 11/09/2021 20:32

People who eat cheap meat are far worse. Stop congratulating yourselves for not doing something you were too shit scared to try anyway.

Could you point out what lives I'm ruining with my weed use please. It's all imported from countries where growing is legal and it's delivered by Royal Mail.
HappyVagabond · 11/09/2021 20:34

I haven't taken drugs for twenty years but please stop acting all superior, the reason you don't take drugs has nothing to do with exploited kids, you just don't want to take them because drugs are bad and scary.

TheHateIsNotGood · 11/09/2021 20:34

Slippys organic, curated way of procurement made me laugh - so very mc.

A lot of people took up 'domestic gardening' during CV lockdown, don't have the space myself - if I was so inclined, similar to Slippy, I too would be descerning and get my weed from the many hobbyists who grow their own with a bit to spare.

But very different to Slippy no bloody way would i get anything illegal on the internet, not least because these strangers might not grow their own and could well be buying from exploitative, criminal growers.

Theluggage15 · 11/09/2021 20:35

Too shit scared to try?! Hahaha. Sounds like drugs have addled your brains. What a stupid thing to say. Yes children are exploited in other ways but it’s quite fucking easy not to do illegal drugs. Next time I hear of a teen stabbing, I’ll think of edgy you and your bravery.

TheHateIsNotGood · 11/09/2021 20:37

descerning? too much wine obvs, discerning.

Theluggage15 · 11/09/2021 20:37

You keep repeating yourself vagabond. Too much coke up your nose?

HappyVagabond · 11/09/2021 20:39

How does it feel to be so much better than me, Luggage? Does it make you very happy?

HappyVagabond · 11/09/2021 20:39

I haven't taken coke in a long time. It's fun though.

SantanaBinLorry · 11/09/2021 20:40

No ethical highs out there
you sure about that Hmm?

Theluggage15 · 11/09/2021 20:42

I don’t give a shit about people like you vagabond.

Monty27 · 11/09/2021 20:42

They hang out with some like minded people and network I would suppose

Scary? I guarantee you've never done anything as scary as spend 24hrs living the life these kids lead.

I've never claimed I don't do drugs for ethical reasons, but I absolutely do claim that those that do are directly contributing to the exploitation of our most vulnerable children.

HappyVagabond · 11/09/2021 21:13

Happy days. Peace and love
HappyVagabond · 11/09/2021 21:14

I'm not sure that you know me very well actually. If I told you some of the places I'd been you might change your mind

HappyVagabond · 11/09/2021 21:15

MurielSpriggs · 11/09/2021 21:47

To be fair this drugs thread took longer than they usually do to descend into an off-topic finger-wagging lecture Grin
