I’ve just re-watched A Star is Born and sobbed like there’s no tomorrow. Made me think about other films that have hit me hard.
Green Mile is another real sob fest.

Any others? I’d like to build a ‘I need a good cry’ collection Grin

Life is Beautiful
Like a PP, I remember crying my eyes out at ET.

The end of Paddington 2. As we came out of the cinema, I heard a little boy ask his mum why she was crying. DD was walking ahead of me so didn't see my face but if she had she would have asked the same question.

Schindler’s List - my face was a mess when the lights went up.

MiddlesexGirl · 21/08/2021 18:51

A few familiar ones here Blush

Has anyone mentioned Never Let Me Go yet?

LubaLuca · 21/08/2021 18:52

Schindler's List. It's the only film that has ever made me cry.

I've tried all the usual tearjerkers because sometimes I want to feel that release, but nope, never more than a lump in my throat.

HelloMissus · 21/08/2021 18:52

But recently - Baby Teeth and Calm With Horses.

WorraLiberty · 21/08/2021 18:54

I've seen a few films that have brought tears to my eyes.

But I honestly can't imagine actually sobbing or bawling.

Serious question to those who say they react that way. Do you actually 'sob' and 'bawl' or just shed a few tears?

Thecazelets · 21/08/2021 18:55

The (original version) Railway Children (the bit at the end) has me in bits just thinking about it.

Sillybillymillyvanilly · 21/08/2021 18:55

Grave of the Fireflies and Dancer in the Dark. Never Again.

Steel Magnolias Atonement A Little Princess Hacksaw Ridge Inside Out

All spring to mind!

I came on to say Hacksaw Ridge. I loved that film and it's based on a true story. Also the Incredible Journey, every time, towards the end when they think the older dog hasn't made it...
