I’ve just re-watched A Star is Born and sobbed like there’s no tomorrow. Made me think about other films that have hit me hard.
Green Mile is another real sob fest.

Any others? I’d like to build a ‘I need a good cry’ collection Grin

So many already mentioned but I always cry at The Lion King. Even more so since my dad died.

whiteroseredrose · 22/08/2021 08:32

@Florabella me too.

My DC are young adults now but I'd love to go back to them being 6 and 8 again for a few days.

@SophyRivenhall I bawled too! When Aunt Lucy comes to visit she reminded me of my darling mum who has dementia and the relationship between her and my dd! She couldn't think why I was crying.

@TruffleShuffles yes Billy Elliott the part where the dad goes back to work down the mine and the son is begging him not to, gets me every time !

And not a film but a tv series It's a sin - bawling through several episodes.

Yes to this. Especially Colin Sad that is one of the most powerful pieces of television I've ever seen, heart wrenching the whole thing but especially certain scenes.

Christ, yes. The last episode particularly was one of the hardest watches ever.

Watched ‘Respect’ at the movie theatre yesterday and sobbed. Amazing film. I was iffy about going to see it because not particularly into Aretha’s music but so glad I saw it.

Another one - A Short Stay in Switzerland. I cried for about an hour!
