To ask how many pairs of shoes you own

So I'm just curious. I have 17 pairs which I think is a fairly standard amount as it includes trainers, sandles, boots, high heels etc. I have a friend who has over 50 pairs and then my partner for example only has around 8 give or take a pair or two.

Pointless thread really but I'm curious

About 50. I got rid of about 50 recently. Thing is I don't see it as excessive at all, I wear all of them (bar the odd pair of fancy heels which will get worn but very very rarely obvs). Mine are a large collection of decent quality (mostly) trainers, sandals and boots (dms, vans, cons etc).
I just wish I had more storage. Waiting for ds 1 to move out as he's got a great inbuilt wardrobe I will utilise.

I would be really interested to know what the value is of these collections. Some posters must have a huge amount of money tied up in those shoe boxes.

I have 100+, this is after a big cull a couple of years ago.

Most would be less than $200AUD.

I'd probably only wear 10 of them regularly though.

I love shoes!!! Thank god I have tiny feet so brands often don't make my size or my collection would be triple this.

1 pair of flip flops
Around 200 pairs of trainers

I have a few dressy pairs from matching dresses for weddings etc tucked away, and more regularly used dressy heels. Hiking boots and shoes, and runners. Boating boots. Birkenstock's, flip flops, sandals. Flat shoes for commute that are on for office, deck shoes and 1 other casual slip-on pair. A couple of pairs of winter boots. There's possibly a pair of wellies somewhere but I think I needed to replace those. So overall, possibly in the 30-50 range when they are all added up.

70 or so. I store them in a bookcase.

It seems I'm the minority here I own 2 pairs runners and a pair of ankle boots 😊
