To ask how many pairs of shoes you own

So I'm just curious. I have 17 pairs which I think is a fairly standard amount as it includes trainers, sandles, boots, high heels etc. I have a friend who has over 50 pairs and then my partner for example only has around 8 give or take a pair or two.

Pointless thread really but I'm curious

I cannot imagine having 50 pairs of shoes!!! 😱

I have 1 pair of day to day trainers, 1 pair of running trainers, 1 pair of converse and 1 pair of sandals that I never wear!

Because I have so many they don't tend to wear out so i have ones I still love from 10 years ago.

I do not have any impractical or uncomfortable pairs anymore though.

😬 Too many. I had a clear out recently and got rid of 10 pairs, think that’s says it all, I’ll have a count when I’m home…

1 x timberland waterproof boots
1 x walking boots
1 x wellies
2 x Tevas
1 x sandals
3 x flip flops
3 x converse trainers
1 x running shoes
1 x trail runners
6 x ‘going out shoes’
So 25 ish. Thought it was less. Must have a cull!!

Wear most - at the moment Tevas and trail runners.

Wear least - going out shoes.

2 pairs of trainers, 2 pairs of flip flops, 1 pair of sandals, 2 pairs of boots. Probably a couple of pair of heels kicking around somewhere that I never wear.

Dressy shoes I've only ever worn once years ago.
That's it! So 8 pairs. Usually only wear 2-3 mostly.

Shoes maybe 7/8 pairs, trainers I’m at 32.

All of us women who have lots of footwear, do you loath throwing them out, even when they're old and knackered?
I do. I currently have a pair that are around 15 years old, they're knackered but I just can't bear to throw them. They're like an old friend 😂

@SimonJT I have to confess about 20 of my "shoes" are trainers. I love them!

I can’t remember but 30+. Keep meaning to have a clear out. Trouble is foot size changes according to body weight so I keep sizes 4, 4.5 and 5 as they can fit when weight fluctuates.

About 50 - quite a few never worn. I wear 5 regularly. I don't know why I'm keeping "going out heels" I probably can't even walk in them anymore

@Looubylou I have at least two unworn pairs of shoes that I've lost!
I remember buying them around 5 years ago, bringing them home and pooof..... vanished!

A few years ago well over 400 nearly 500. I have had a bit of a cull since then so maybe 250 - 300? they are stored all over the house now so not as easy to count.

Errr, ten including the everyday winter and summer pairs.

Then wellies, spanish riding boots, running shoes, five pairs of evening shoes. so I think about 20 in total.

I cannot believe how many shoes people have!!

I have been living in the same pair of Sketchers for the past two years. They are falling apart, stink, and look terrible. I don't care.

40 and I’m 30 but must have given away over 30 in the last decade. Really trying to buy less and better quality but it’s hard. Shoes always fit.

Including boots, high heels, flats, sandals, runners and casual trainers, I would have approx 80. With the exception of this past 18 months, I do wear many of them regularly. I love shoes and they are often a big part of my outfit choice. I don't wear heels as much since I became a mum - fewer parties, work less etc. but I keep the ones I love and take care of them well so I still wear them years after purchase. It is too many to store easily and I probably could/should get rid of some but they don't cause problems.

9 pairs of summer sandals
4 sneakers or shoes like vans/converse

My reasoning is that I have very sweaty feet so a different pair of shoes everyday. Most I haven't worn yet. The heel of my shoes wear out very fast.
