Locked parking thread 2

Sorry everyone I didn't post a new thread last night but I was a bit freaked out by the comment about finding me online at the end.

Anyway as the world's most boring update it is still here but someone is coming round about lunchtime to pick it up.

I rang 101 and reported it and that I was concerned they'd essentially vanished. They said there wasn't anything they could do about the car as its on private land but I could be liable for any damage if I moved it and that they would check on the registered owner.

I posted it on a couple of the local Facebook groups last night saying
"Anyone know whose cat this is? Please get them to contact me urgently on xxxx as itll be being towed tomorrow"

I had a response from the guys DS and she said she'd contact him and get him ring me. He hasn't rang me but she messaged me back to say he'd collect it at lunchtime if that was OK. I've said fine but we going out at at 2 so if he's not here before then he won't be able to get it till we get back later.

And that's it really.

I think that the concern of @GilbertsLuckySock about identifying the location is totally disingenuous - they are terrified that this is reveal - in the national media - the identity of the CF which would be HUMILIATING for them
not the OP …. This could heat up like the Karen at Victoria’s Secrets viral video - attract a crowd who film it when he turns up !!!

Soubriquet · 01/08/2021 12:29

Look Gilbert, the OPs diagram was good but it wasn’t that good.

If you could identify her house from that, you should join the FBI

Cuddlyrottweiler · 01/08/2021 12:29

I hate when people say "around lunchtime" just pick a number!

At least Gilbert is keeping us entertained while we wait.

CandyLeBonBon · 01/08/2021 12:30
@Biblionerd I suggested OP has her diagram removed, then people who hadn’t RTFT decided it was threatening. Those who had RTFT who’d see my location and circumstances are similar to OPs.

But women tend to enjoy drama, and will indeed try to bully away posters they don’t agree with. It happens a lot on MN unfortunately.
Actually the op stated DIRECTLY that she found your posts unnerving and that they made her uncomfortable. Yet here you are. Still at it!

And naff off with the 'women are dramatic' sexist bullshit.

Ageist and sexist. What a lovely combination.

GilbertsLuckySock · 01/08/2021 12:31

@Sssloou I agree. OP has posted her issue on her local Facebook now. It’s really quite a risk, as countrywide access is a hot topic at the moment with ‘staycationers’. Whether it’s the OP or the CF, someone is going to be upset.

LavenderAskew · 01/08/2021 12:31

You'd expect his to want to collect his car fairly promptly wouldn't you - it's not like it's a picnic basket or such like it. Come collect it in the morning - evidently he could cycle there and then drive home.

You'd love to know what his take on this is wouldn't you. Is his tail suitably between his legs or or he all indignant about it or are the women in his life having to solve it to placate him.

I too fancy a carvery, especially as my oven has just broken and what to make for dinner is now awkward.

Cuddlyrottweiler · 01/08/2021 12:32

To pile in. Who can be arsed to trawl Google maps to find OPs location from her diagram of essentially, a house with a big driveway near some trees.
And what on earth would anybody then do with that information besides know where not to park.

Biblionerd · 01/08/2021 12:32

I read the entire thread, you were creepy, argumentative, were asking for proof of signage on the gates (despite being told it was there, despite her having shown CF it was there and her not owing you anything), told her you knew exactly where she lived, told her she was old, that she was a curtain twitcher, you told her she enjoyed watching children in distress. You flatly refused to acknowledge, despite being told numerous times, that she couldn't leave the gate open for his convenience due to her insurance and valuable properly. You were frankly a complete PITA! Just go

JenniferAllisonPhillipaSue · 01/08/2021 12:33

OP definitely being sponsored by a carvery chain (there are other carveries you know, not just Toby ....)

MotherOfDemons · 01/08/2021 12:33
@LakieLady I had dreadful ndns in my last house and she was particularly bad. I bought two passion fruit plants and trained them on the fence between us... they were called Passiflora Silly Cow! Grin made me titter to myself everytime I walked past.
Utterly off topic but thank you! I have been trying to remember the name of the climber I wanted for the garden :D

GilbertsLuckySock · 01/08/2021 12:33

@Soubriquet I couldn’t identify it and haven’t tried. But it’s possible because it happened to me on here. RTFT.

ToffeePennie · 01/08/2021 12:33

Has he got the car yet???

Nobody cares!

No evidence of signage was supplied.
I most certainly did not publish where she lived. That’s quite a big lie.
Yes, she watched their distress from her window when they returned, instead releasing their car. That was wrong.
She was referred to as a ‘polite old lady’.

Cuddlyrottweiler · 01/08/2021 12:36

Anyone else think Gilbert could be CF Parker?

FenceSplinters · 01/08/2021 12:37

Please do not apologise to him when he comes!

Sssloou · 01/08/2021 12:37

There is a chance for the CF to redeem himself here and not be classed as the entitled w@@ker in the national media ….. suggest he turns up with flowers and a profuse apology …..

GilbertsLuckySock · 01/08/2021 12:37

@Cuddlyrottweiler I have more in common with the OP if you RTFT than I do the CF.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 01/08/2021 12:38

harriet & demons: I'm going to look for that plant now! (I have a lovely NDN). I know it's childish but I always found this one amusing:

Mumdiva99 · 01/08/2021 12:38

Well it's definitely around lunchtime..... come on CF parking man....

Biblionerd · 01/08/2021 12:38

He's not going to turn up, he's going to send sister because CF has no balls!

It's definitely lunchtime, time for the car to go!!!

LavenderAskew · 01/08/2021 12:38

I think I might get myself some Passiflora Silly Cow now. Love a plant with humorous name
@PricklesAndSpikes you don’t live rurally, do you.
Erm.... about 90% of my life (and I'm reallllllly old by your calculations), in a couple of counties in the UK and in a couple of other countries. What an odd thing to say!! I'm about as robust as they come, but being hypocritical isn't a trait of robustness... Grin
