tantalise me with Will Self (is that his name?) laying on the bed with those bloody tight jeans on.

Honestly, it really is TOO much - my hormones are on a rampage

"the ugly, lisping journo who got caught jacking up in the PM's plane toilets?"

the very same! tho take issue with both ugly and lisping (and journo, probably. 'Columnist and literary novelist' is more appropriate i feel)

Isn't he married to Deborah Orr btw gerruls?

shrinkingsagpuss · 28/11/2007 12:31

Trouble is, just s you get used to someone lovely - will or rupert... they stuff Terry Wogan back on in his charming no-iron beige trousers.

EricL · 28/11/2007 12:33

I doubt CBeebies would get him to read a story then.

Next will be Pete 'Look At Me Everyone I'm So Tortured By Talent, Fanny-Baws, Muppet-Faced, Metrosexual Twat' Docherty.

RudyVonLasagne · 28/11/2007 12:38

Will Self has vile feet apparently. A work colleague saw him on the tube once in... ahem... 'sandals'...

onebatmother · 28/11/2007 12:45

Oh my Goodness!

soopermum1 · 28/11/2007 12:54

i prefer either of the lovely young men who do the rapping about numbers or sing to us about recycling on cbeebies. lots of energy

MrsArchieTheInventor · 28/11/2007 13:04

Do you mean Will Mellor

Will Self is a writer

CatIsSleepy · 28/11/2007 13:05

so Will Self wasn't on CBeebies?
am strangely disappointed

don't fancy him though

madamez · 28/11/2007 13:10

Well it took me quite a while to get over Philip Glenister doing the bedtime story at the height of Life On Mars mania . But I am all in favour of Cbeebies sneaking in little bits of totty treat to cheer up harassed mothers. And/Or scsre the DC off to bed early (How about Marilyn Manson reading the Three Billy Goats Gruff...' and when I've caaaaauggghhhht you I will EEAAAAAAAAT you'....

EricL - excellent summing up of Doherty by the way.

CatIsSleepy · 28/11/2007 13:16

ooh I wish I'd seen Philip Glenister...

but what does Fanny Baws mean?

onebatmother · 28/11/2007 13:32

A Scottish slang word, compound of the slang words fanny (female vagina) and baws ([balls/testicles).

  1. A slang word for female genitalia.
  2. A soft insult which can be used in many different situations.

The insult can be used instead of c**t to lessen the impact of the insult, and can sometimes be used in an affectionate manner.

I believe.

Vulgar · 28/11/2007 13:34

Will Self is sexy in a "creature of the night' way.

Those demonic eyes are enough to give an toddlers nightmares.

I'm not surprised he has horrible feet.

I could imagine he would have cloven hooves like Mr Tumnus in Narnia.

Will Mellor is a prat.

I met him once and he really loved himself way too much!

CatIsSleepy · 28/11/2007 13:39

ah thanks onebatmother
I feel...enlightened

so EricL was basically calling him a c**t then

in a nice way

Iklboo · 28/11/2007 13:41

Wasn't Will Mellor in "The Street" on BBC1 last week (or is it this week) playing a gay builder?

lucyellensmum · 28/11/2007 16:15

yes, i think he was, but i didnt watch it - that would have made me a salivating wreck though. LEM tries to shake the bad thoughts out of her head

OP posts:
lucyellensmum · 28/11/2007 16:20

Vulgar, i have no doubt that he is a narcicistic (sp) dofus, but what i have in mind doesnt require him to talk, just OBEY!

OP posts:
pointydog · 28/11/2007 17:22

gah! So it was twat Mellor and not Will Self? And I didn't even blink at the thought of Will Self being on cbeebies.

lol @ fanny baws

pointydog · 28/11/2007 17:23

i can't believe the op mixed up will mellor with will self.

Vulgar · 28/11/2007 17:27

at lucyellensmum

Wisteria · 28/11/2007 17:29

he came to my daughter's secondary school the year before last I think - was very funny to see all the drama teachers trying to act in a mature manner when you know they wanted to hurl their knickers at him really.....

.....of course all of us Mums were the model of propriety and decorum

lemonaid · 28/11/2007 17:34

Philip Glenister was great on Cbeebies. Although I did watch all week half-expecting him to launch into full-on Gene Hunt mode...

pointydog · 28/11/2007 17:35

now, you're talking about will self, wisteria. Am I right?

cazboldy · 28/11/2007 17:42

Ilkboo - it was - I couldn't watch - I just kept thinking of him in gaz in 2pints!
I think he is lovely too!

Wisteria · 28/11/2007 18:39

no, Mellor!! I've never seen the attraction with Mr Self myself

Swedes2Turnips1 · 28/11/2007 19:02

Oooh Will Self would do it for me, though I might be reluctant to introduce him to my children. Or admit my fascination with him to my boss. Yes, I would like a night out with him.
