Isolating and binge watching couples come dine with me!

Would love to hear from anyone who has been on about what ifs really like behind the scenes!

Also.. if you were going to go on what would your menu be?!

I think I would keep it simple with:

Starter: sweet chilli king prawns and chorizo on a bed of rocket with home made bread.

Main: mozzarella and pesto stuffed chicken wrapped in Parma ham, with tendersteam broccoli and green beans and crushed roasted baby potatoes.

Desert: chocolate torte.

I must admit I'm not sure about the risotto although I love it...truffle is probably a bit of marmite flavour and it's not very pretty.

I often wonder if you didn’t like something could you say you were allergic when you applied?

I hate mushrooms and tinned tuna but eat anything else.

I love cooking but find the idea of cooking for very fussy people hard!

Oh I love cdwm and binge watch. Would never go on it as I know it would all go tits up!
My menu would be:
Starter: prawn cocktail 😂
Main: Steak and chips 😂
Pud: after eight mint cheese cake 😋

Love it

My starter would be baked Camembert and warm bread

Main - Seafood chilli and lemon linguine

Pudding - chocolate hazelnut cheesecake

As you can see I’m a shit cook 😂

My brother went on it and won. He used my house to cook in. I put some odd items in my drawers which kept everyone amused. In his typical style he had over catered so fed most of the crew too.

It was funny seeing my house on TV. Some of their camera angles were so bizarre.

Ah @Petrochemical I'd maybe have to use my mams house as couldn't kick hubby and the kids out for filming!

Plus my house is tiny! The table is in the kitchen which would be awkward trying to cook 🤣

That was hilarious and shown again the other week. She was absolutely scatty but very lovely. I think it must have been a dare but then she'd started off by announcing that 'My mum always says that if I had dynamite for brains there wouldn't be enough to blow my own head off'. So who knows?

I had a friend who was on it. She said it took so long to film that they were all hammered every night by the end, some of the filming went on til 3am.

I always wonder why people who hate Fish & Cheese etc go on there....?

My favourite was when the local restaurant delivered food through the window and the lady plated it and brazened it out. She won.

I don't know what I'd cook anymore, used to have it all planned but I'm bored of food.

Does anyone recall the poor lady who got terribly drunk and had pet snakes who pooed on the table? I think she ended up oassing away a bit later. I think of her whenever i watch the show because it was clear she was struggling then.

Hiya. You're mixing up two different people. The lady who passed away was called Dawn Berry and she was incredibly drunk on every episode and fell asleep on her bed on her night. They never air those episodes because she was clearly a struggling alcoholic who died of the disease later. The snake poo lady was on a Channel 5 roundup show the other night of TV shows that go wrong. She is now blonde and took the piss out of herself!

I also had a friend who was the entertainment, doing a short act- when my other friend was a contestant. She said it was mortifying, the guests laughed at her. She wishes she hadnt done it and is not happy that it STILL sometimes pops up on re-runs!

@Mammyloveswine I'm way too old to handle 3 nights of 3am finishes-- and imagine having to film with a hangover! I would definitely drink too much and humiliate myself somehow :-D

I know and I expect most people have a fab time doing the show but it just wasn’t right for her.

I’d go Greek/Cypriot.

Starter - Meze plate

Main - Lamb Kleftiko, Greek lemon potatoes and a Greek dish of green beans/tomato, plus a Greek salad.

Pudding - Greek yoghurt icecream with pistachio/honey cake/flan.

Not that I’ve ever given this any thought ever, none at all.
