Random car parked on my drive!

dh has just come back from work and parked across the road. I asked why he hasn't parked on our driveway and he said he thought we had visitors.
I've gone out and there's a random car on our driveway! Knocked on neighbours door but they don't know who's it is. (They are really nice and we get on with them so they would have told them to move if it was anything to do with them).
AIBU to move the car and block them in?

Why do you need to apologise for something that someone else has done?!?

Because OP will be able to return to the thread with tales of how she joked with the police.

You'd think someone might have thought of that already in over 600 posts.

Exactly!

Fiddliestofsticks · 24/07/2021 09:51

Is this really a classics worthy thread? Classical nominations are getting a bit silly now.

The sister calling up to say they were being talked about is... odd. It would be different officers on shift by that point, so no one there to tell the story. If it's a small village police station, no one would have been there last night so the police would have been sent from somewhere else.
Was OP texting the sister last night telling her what was going on? Why would she assume it was them? All getting a bit silly.

FlatteredFool · 24/07/2021 09:52

@Fiddliestofsticks you sound such fun. We all need a bit of silly at the moment.

justasking111 · 24/07/2021 09:53

Wow you tell a cracking story and the green eyed monsters appear sigh .

Butternutsqoosh · 24/07/2021 09:58

I certainly wouldn’t leave my car on the road because of some ridiculous idiot’s behaviour. Block them in and if you don’t have an explanation by the morning than call the police. The car is on private property.

A few realistic posters arrive.

Calling people mean girls whilst telling them to fuck off though 🤦🏻‍♀️

CandyLeBonBon · 24/07/2021 10:05

@MotionActivatedDog

Ahhh you’ve over egged the pudding now OP. Grin Full credit for your storytelling ability though. It passed a Friday evening very nicely.
This!

@QueenBee52

this is a shocking turn of events... calling the Police for this ...

Although tbf I'd loved to have seen their faces when your DH answered the door fully hazmat kitted 🤣

Even more amazing that the police turned out, they often don't turn out for a break-in, simply give you a crime number for the insurance, we had numerous burglaries at the school I worked at and rarely saw the police.
TheLadyGrayson · 24/07/2021 10:14

Aw, last update killed it 😐

My boyfriend’s mother’s FIL’s daughter’s husband works in the police and I can confirm this is true

Calling people mean girls whilst telling them to fuck off though

Some people seem to get a weird sort of thrill by picking apart posts, as though their opinion matters. It's irritating and against MN rules. So yes, they should just fuck off. Or maybe join neighbourhood watch and busybody elsewhere.

Isn't telling people to fuck off also against the rules? Personal attacks and all that

herewegogc · 24/07/2021 10:41

👏👏👏👏😂😂😂😂

Poodlegoogle · 24/07/2021 10:56

OP does actually say that BIL is in police earlier in the post... so may be true...
Either way this has given me a good laugh, just what I needed after a crap week! Thanks OP! 👍🤣
