To ask if anyone is actually enjoying this weather?

I have felt sick and tired all day. Can't get comfortable, didn't sleep last night etc. Is anyone actually enjoying it as I am certainly not. Dreading work tomorrow also.

so is it that theybe just started these warnings?

I expect one of the MN nice weather haters has just started working there.

The weather like this seems to bring out the worst in people's behaviour though.
Out this morning and someone had collapse and most people were ignoring her. Two older men nearly came to blows because one had passed too closely to the other.
Didn't even dare go in to any shops

Today has been really good hot hot

I’m enjoying the current bit, where I can sit in my garden in the shade and listen to thunder rolling in the distance. The rest of it not so much. I don’t do well in high temperatures.

I think this new warning is a good thing, people - esp vulnerable older people do die during extreme heatwaves, hopefully this will help make people more aware of when it is seriously hot.

I have a heart condition that's exacerbated by heat so I'm not enjoying it at all.

I do like when it's sunny though. But I get too ill to go outside and I'm pregnant so don't fancy being hospitalised with a cardiac incident 😂

Never enjoyed a thunder/ hailstorm more. Ice and 30c in the same day!

The trick is to slow down and adjust. So drink more water, wear loose cotton or linen clothes, open windows front and back to create a through-draft, close curtains or blinds to keep sun out of rooms you want to be cooler.
Slow down, do any physical work in early morning or later in the afternoon when it's cooler.

This. Convincing my alway busy DH of this is difficult though. He still asks me at 2pm if I want to go for a walk around our local very unshaded fields when the temperature is almost 30deg. I tell him he is bonkers and to wait until nearer 5pm

It’s the humidity I can’t stand.

I just want to put make up on without having to give up because I’m covered in sweat! And I miss sleeping under my lovely duvet.

I reckon 5 is hotter than 2! I’m enjoying the air now. Have flung the windows open to let cooler air in before it heats up. Yesterday was awful in the classroom. So glad today is the first day of school holidays!

No foreign holiday this year, so we're absolutely loving it! Got the BBQ out, bunting up and tent up in the garden sleeping under the stars. Smashing!

I spent last night fantasising about when I can put my winter duvet back on I’ve just accepted that for the moment I’m going to be dripping in sweat no matter what. Roll on Friday for a bit cooler!

Staying in a hotel in London - arrived last night. Thank God for the air con, I might not leave the room!

Something else I hate about the heat - the sodding flies! I can't wait until it cools down on Friday.

Cannot stand it anymore I can't sleep I'm showering loads got the fans going and I'm still wiped out just can't get cool! Hate it! Give me autumn!!

Since meno hot weather makes me itch everywhere.

Yeah nah I'm not a big fan of having to sit in darkness all day because I need the curtains drawn, not being able to sleep, and seeing all the smug people who can spend it in their big gardens while I swelter nervously in a highly flammable cladded London block.

Roll on winter, that's all I'm going to say!
