The truth is some workplaces are a pleasure to leave. And some workplaces habe some right arsehole colleagues so saying to them it’s a pleasure to leave would be one of life’s little joys. It’s the polite way to say “fuck you” on the way out.

I was leaving a job after being bulled unrelentingly by the Director and two other staff. I took great pleasure in telling the Director to fuck off in front of all the other staff at my leaving tea. Rude yes but it was worth it to see her face. I followed that up with a letter from my union threatening legal action. Revenge was very sweet.

I'd be delighted to leave if I had a colleage as touchy as TomForddr.

But presumably if they’re pleased to be leaving, they won’t give a shit? And you’d have to be pretty paranoid to be upset if a colleague said they were pleased to be leaving - why would you take it personally? Unless they said ‘I’m leaving because you’re a total bitch and you’re ruining my life’.
