For my toddler Dd? Nothing fancy, just something lovely from baby Zara, for example.
I also sort of buy her new outfits to match places/the colours where we are going, to look aesthetically pleasing in Instagram photos etc..I’m weird, aren’t I 😬

@Threewheeler1

ZingDrama GrinGrin nicely done!
@Threewheeler1

🤣

I love his "mum made me wear this shit" face. bless his little bloody headband.

It's the classic peeved expression of every crafter's child that is forced to pose for a photo, innit?

Threewheeler1 · 06/07/2021 12:01

Zing So true! Same 'close to tears' face my kids used to get when I made them wear the hand knitted chinstrap hats! Still makes me laugh cos they were such shit hats Grin

takealettermsjones · 06/07/2021 12:27

Imo people can dress their kids however they like as long as they fit and are suitable for the weather, but I can't stand babies/kids being plastered all over social media. Those kids are going to become adults someday and find themselves in a situation where mummy's followers have their entire back catalogue of baby photos to hand and know literally everything about them.

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 06/07/2021 12:36

@Threewheeler1

I made a very nice dress for DD when she was 4.
she chose the colour and fabric, I showed her the style. still got the "you've just skinned my bunny alive" look.
glad I bothered 🤣

DoucheCanoe · 06/07/2021 12:53

That's my thought too @takealettermsjones, dress them however you/they like but doing it to make them look good on your social media isn't ok.

KarenofSparta · 06/07/2021 13:12

I still think it's strange to treat your child as an accessory.

It's like the twinning thing - bit weird.

PuffItsGone · 06/07/2021 14:50

I can’t think of anywhere ‘blisteringly hot’ that has a primark Confused

HasaDigaEebowai · 06/07/2021 14:55

Spain can be pretty hot

ChocolateChipMuffin2016 · 06/07/2021 15:14

I personally don't do this, it's a mission enough to even get mine in clothes at all, but I know my cousin does and has openly admitted it on social media. I think it's a little bit odd, especially if its for the benefit of "likes", though I do think the pictures look pretty, so I do "like" them. I think if you have the money and your kid is ultimately happy, it doesn't really matter.

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 06/07/2021 15:16

Strange and presumably very affluent to be able to do thisb

Drivingmeupthewall · 06/07/2021 17:00

@TwinsAndTrifle did you make a career from your appearance? I don’t think you mentioned it. 😂

BumBurnerBum · 06/07/2021 17:03

Well this thread took a turn (on the catwalk natch)...

@Threewheeler1

What am I reading? Confused Matching kids clothes to their surroundings??

When we were kids Mum made me and my sister dresses out of the left over bedspread fabric.
When we went into the bedroom we magically disappeared like camouflaged chameleons.
Clearly 45 years ahead of the curve there.

Are you from the Von Trapp family :)

lazee · 07/07/2021 18:22

Ffs 🤦‍♀️
