Stop all the abbreviations. What's with all the "dear" this and that anyway? Why are they always dear?

The one good thing about Tattle is that if you post twice in succession, with no posters commenting in between, it merges your posts into one. Handy.

I know we can bookmark if up to a certain part of a thread, but I'd love it to be automatic that if you open a Threads I'm On, it takes you straight to your own most recent post.

I think that should work the same way the bookmark works.

Ban people who make pointless/repetitive/inappropriate comments because they haven't RTFT or at least all of OP's posts/updates.

I would have a facility to correct spelling/typing errors, say for five minutes after posting.

I'd fiddle with the name change facility and reset goady fuckers to their main name on all their posts 😈

I think it would be more fun to add a pithy description to the inadequate ones.

If we included the racism against travellers. ageism and ableism then the site would be very quiet.
I agree with name changing. The best thing to have happened was the hacking. The worshiping some posters got was embarrassing and they had turned into a nasty click.

If I was running mumsnet for a day, I would pretend we had been hit by a DDOS attack and close the talk boards just for that day.

While I love them, I don't want to be responsible for monitoring them.

Ban the use of 'so' at the beginning of sentences. Ban the word 'sourcing'. See also 'reaching out'.

I would also ban those daft titles that people use that there is an obvious answer to.

'Does anyone live in such-and-such place'? Nope, it's a ghost town now.

'Has anyone ever had this specific ailment?' No, you are the first. It's astonishing that it has a name tbh.

'Does anyone know how to do blah?' Nope, it has never been done, ever. By anyone at all.

A list of common logical fallacies and a short reading comprehension test before you're allowed to post a response. And using the phrase "so you're saying that...." should be autocompleted with what the person actually said.

I’d keep some of the fake posts and move them to a section called „Creative writing“ or something like that. Some of them are really well written and lots of advice given there is great.

Allow discussion of the McCanns, ban the revolting swear words.

• Get rid of AIBU and move all the threads to the relevant topics.
• Ban people who don't RTFT.
• Ban people for placemarking.
• Be better at identifying and removing troll threads.
• Allow troll hunting.
• Remove any restrictions on feminism chat.
• Ban anyone who posts about Christmas between January and November.
• Reintroduce the 1000 posts per page function.
• Merge/delete all the topics which do the same thing but have different names.

Ban everyone who uses AIBU for poll taking, or who explains what the YABU/YANBU options are.

Boils my piss every time I open an AIBU and the end of the post has

YABU - you should wax your toes
YANBU - everyone should be able to play the piccolo

Also ban everyone who says their DH has a hobby but won't say what it is because it's too outing. It's usually something that's not niche in the slightest, like cycling or golf.

I'd get rid of the transphobic journalists. And their little weird cult.

Care about people

I think it would be useful if we could all have 2 usernames that we could toggle between for times you need to name change but don't want to go through the current rigmarole of name changing.
