DH pulled my skirt up - AIBU to feel angry?

Just before getting indoors from a trip out today my husband pulled my dress up and flashed my pants. He said that he had checked and there wasn't anyone coming down the street who could see (which I of course didn't know) but when I turned around there were some people up the road - he said they were too far away to see but I'm not 100% sure this is true (I'm 99% sure its true).

Its been about 3 hours and I am still really angry about this even though he has apologised. AIBU?

Oh and why she has such a 2 dimensional and unpleasant view of men. There's what 30 million there. And all would have an affair if their OH got the hump after he pulled her skirt up on the street..!

nixso29 · 06/06/2021 21:23

@CasaBonita

I think my reaction would have been to kick him in the cock
Just spat my tea out 🤣
DrSbaitso · 06/06/2021 21:24

It's a troll, people, a very obvious and tired one that thinks he's original and witty and never seen before. They were all like this in 2005, it was like a clone army of completely shit and deluded clones. And they haven't changed.

He wants a response, preferably an angry or upset one, but any response will do. Don't give it.

NiceGerbil · 06/06/2021 21:28

The OP or the one who is sniggering at the reference to sausage in their user name?

DrSbaitso · 06/06/2021 21:33

@NiceGerbil

The sausage one. He even mentions sausages in the username! Though they often give themselves excessively flowery feminine names.

I had to check the website I was using because years ago I used to frequent another forum that was just jammed with posters like that. And they ALL thought they were so original and witty. They were so alike that we had a theory it was all the same basement dweller, except they'd pop up at all hours of the day and night. There really were and are that many of them. Like I said, a clone army of really, really shit clones. Ignore!

Jesus! Sad little bastard(s). What must it be like to have that bollocks as your sole form of entertainment? Poor little saveloy 😂

IsThePopeCatholic · 06/06/2021 21:37

Sounds like he was trying to show off his ‘possession’ to other men. I’d hate it. Let’s hope he doesn’t do it to any other woman. Definitely needs to grow up.

NiceGerbil · 06/06/2021 21:44

The thing I always wonder is why such a large minority of men and boys are so desperate to get the attention of any old women and girls, and so often to tell them off, upset them, make them angry etc.

Like the ones who do stuff when you're out and about- shouting, beeping, showing you their dicks etc etc.

It's just so pathetic.

DrSbaitso · 06/06/2021 21:45

Because it's a reaction, so they've had an effect, and it doesn't make them vulnerable or distressed in any way. Attack as a form of defence.

It's pathetic, unworthy and utterly unmanly. I've no time for it.

NiceGerbil · 06/06/2021 21:48

But why are so many so desperate for the attention, any attention?

It's like they never developed emotionally beyond wanting mummy's attention.

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 06/06/2021 21:55

He probably feels like a told off school kid now

At the risk of stating the screamingly obvious, maybe he shouldn't behave like one!

It's just such a weird thing to do. Have seriously never known a post-adolescent male do this - ever. Does he have form for the kind of knobbish behaviour normally only seen in thirteen year olds?

DrSbaitso · 06/06/2021 21:59

@NiceGerbil

But why are so many so desperate for the attention, any attention?

It's like they never developed emotionally beyond wanting mummy's attention.

They see their attraction to women as a kind of power women hold over them (because they aren't man enough to own and handle their own desires) and they want to redress the balance. They fear that if they try a normal approach, they'll be rejected (it's likely; they're pricks, after all), so they go for stuff like this where they can retain the upper hand because they're not the ones being set upon.
NiceGerbil · 06/06/2021 22:01

That doesn't explain the saddos who come on MN though!

Any place that's known to have a predominantly female user base will be a draw. As the name suggests a parenting site (I know it's not exclusively for parents or parenting), there'll be a perception that we have nothing to talk about except school fetes and supermarkets and it'll be so much fun to shake up our silly vapid wimmin babble because we are incapable of thought. The user base is probably also average 40+, which makes the idea even funnier to a particularly dim breed of fuckwit. You'd be surprised how many are 40+ themselves.

In short, twats are threatened by the idea of woman centred spaces and it's the only coping mechanism they have, short of curling up in the foetal position in their mums' basements and shitting themselves copiously...and mum has probably threatened them with eviction if they do that again.

flippertygibbit · 06/06/2021 22:12

You've every right to be angry, if that's how you feel but not something I could get worked up about - just a bit of fun.

FuckyouCovid21 · 06/06/2021 22:22

How is it fun, I'm struggling to understand?

AlGorithim · 06/06/2021 22:22

I am genuinely struggling to think of any adult man I know who would pull his partner’s skirt up to expose her underwear without her consent in a public place for his own amusement.

I also can’t think of any woman I know who would find it amusing.

Reading this thread, I’m actually quite shocked at the number of posters who would not only be ok with it being done to them because bantz, but who think that posters who aren’t ok with it are boring and humourless.

I’m quite happy to be considered boring and humourless on this.

QioiioiioQ · 06/06/2021 22:25

I would be incandescent with rage Obviously violence is wrong but I would probably Lamp him

Yeah, you're quite right. Blush Feel silly for taking the bait now, but in my defence I had had some Wine
user1471538283 · 07/06/2021 10:57

I would have gone mental if my bf did this. But I cant imagine him or any grown man doing it.

QioiioiioQ · 07/06/2021 11:10

I suppose the correct response would be to yank his trousers down?

Sillawithans · 07/06/2021 12:56

I couldn't get worked up over this to be honest.

Cardiffwales · 07/06/2021 17:27

Wow 18% think that’s ok. Shocked.

Starsky88 · 07/06/2021 17:39

😂😂😂 over reaction much! Me and my hubby do this all the time (obviously with no one around) empty street, people far away, jeez lighten up

jellybeansforbreakfast · 07/06/2021 17:50

now he can never be forgiven? That is a possibility.

If OP doesn't find this 'little prank' to be funny then yes, she could find it signals a distinct lack of respect, care, love for her and makes her see him in a decidedly different light.

I suspect I would feel like that too

If he wanted to feel sexy, to experience a thrill @Undecidedandtorn why didn't he pull his own trousers down? Ask him? Why was his thrill at your unconsenting expense?
