7:30 lawn mowing (tomorrow, friday)

I get on really well with the neighbours so don't want to upset them.

Both sides are usually up well before 7, but it is school holidays here.

Way too early- and I say that as someone whose son gets up at 6am everyday!

BeastforLease · 03/06/2021 18:36

It's already waited six weeks, it needs doing!

Yanbu if they're awake anyway. It would bother me.

RedHelenB · 03/06/2021 18:38

It wouldn't bother me I mean.

Duchess379 · 03/06/2021 18:39

I would be seriously unhappy. Why mow the lawn at that time??

CharlieChickenson · 03/06/2021 18:40

So it tonight?

SchrodingersImmigrant · 03/06/2021 18:41

@BeastforLease

Can't do it now - tomorrow morning is only option pre rain!
Well then it will have to wait after. 7:30am is ridiculous
SchrodingersImmigrant · 03/06/2021 18:41

It can last 2 more weeks

kittie01 · 03/06/2021 18:41

It’s too early. You must have known you were going away. Think of the environment if not your neighbours and leave it till you get home

No matter when you do it you'll upset someone.
Me and my daughter both work nights, she was trying to sleep today and our neighbour was doing ours.
No easy solutions.

YellowScallion · 03/06/2021 18:44

It'll be wet at 7:30 from dew, so no better than being wet from rain

LittleBearPad · 03/06/2021 18:45

Or what?

It will be 2 weeks longer and absolutely nothing bad will result.

Alternatively wake up your neighbours (wider than immediate neighbours) at 7.30 on a half term Friday morning so you don’t have slightly long grass. Get a grip and don’t be so selfish.

KatherineJaneway · 03/06/2021 18:46

The noise will reach more than your immediate neighbours either side though surely?

RubyFakeLips · 03/06/2021 18:46

It’s fine. Building work seems to start around here at 7.

I say this as someone who tries to only see 7 in the morning a couple of times a year if that!

Mum2jenny · 03/06/2021 18:47

I’d do it if you know your neighbours will be awake

Weatherwax · 03/06/2021 18:49

Pop round now and ask them!

TailFeatherz · 03/06/2021 18:51

This is why you shouldn't put things off like mowing the lawn. My neighbour hasn't mowed his lawn for months and now it's so long he's had to get his dad round to use a petrol strimmer on it

cupsofcoffee · 03/06/2021 18:51

If you've not been arsed with it for 6 weeks, what difference will another fortnight make?

Cotswoldmama · 03/06/2021 18:52

Too early

ineedaholidaynow · 03/06/2021 18:52

Why didn't you do it instead of posting on MN?

DM1209 · 03/06/2021 18:53

YABU and very selfish.
Leave it until you return. If it bothered you so much, you should have found a way to do it sooner.

SmokeyDevil · 03/06/2021 18:53

In the time you've been talking on here you could have done it already. Just get it done.

RincewindsHat · 03/06/2021 18:57

I'd just do it, it's a one-off. 7:30am is not even early.
