Pinki It’ll be pissing down next week. do you promise? 🥵

MamaNewtNewt · 02/06/2021 13:54

Same. Especially as I'm laid up in hospital. It's hotter than the sun in here.

Thelnebriati · 02/06/2021 13:57

At this time of year I love my LL. They put in a shower and I have 1 or 2 cold showers a day.

afaloren · 02/06/2021 14:00

I hate hot weather. It makes me and my pets feel ill. Give me grey skies and rain any day. I loved May and now when I look at the long range forecast all I feel is doom.

However, I do recognise that I get the better end of the deal living in Britain. I just wish there was some way to donate my summer to one of you best lovers and I could have three months of your winter in return!

afaloren · 02/06/2021 14:01

Heat lovers not best lovers Grin

MeanderingGently · 02/06/2021 14:05

I hate the heat too. It has been a lovely year so far, with a cooler May but now the heat has arrived....and I suspect this summer is going to be really hot. Roll on September.....

SoupDragon · 02/06/2021 14:11

A cooler May?? It was mostly pissing it down and blowing a gale here! Utterly miserable.

PegPeople · 02/06/2021 14:15

A lovely year so far is certainly putting a giant glass half full spin on the absolutely shocking weather we've had so far in 2021. Grin

Katkinsgreyy · 02/06/2021 14:21

I hate the heat.
I also have really sensitive eyes to bright light and the summer is a nightmare for me :(

I just always feel so grubby and gross in the summer.

DeadButDelicious · 02/06/2021 14:26

It's HIDEOUS.

I hate being hot. I hate sticky sunblock and I hate how bright everything is.

I loved May. It was lovely and cool and overcast. I could of done without the rain but on the whole I was really enjoying it. 😂

fashionablefennel · 02/06/2021 14:29

For anyone who is not in the UK.. the heat everyone is currently complaining about.. is nearly 25C 😂

Imagine if we end up have REAL hot summer days!

Meruem · 02/06/2021 15:02

That temperature may not be high if you're comparing to places that hit 40. Although in a lot of those places you have decent air con in homes. But for someone like me who suffers joint and muscle pain which is exacerbated by heat, it does make the difference between being in pain or not.

Those who hate cold weather. Have you ever felt so cold that it seeps into your bones and even once you get into a warm room you need to thaw out from the inside? That's how it is for me (and I'm sure many others) with heat. It goes to my core and a cool flannel or a glass of water just doesn't cut it. If I get "overheated" it can take hours for me to cool back down again.

I can honestly say that thanks to the humidity thus heaviness, it feels like 30 in my native country😂 My family laughed at me dying at 24 until they came to visit at the time.😂
Susannahmoody · 02/06/2021 15:12

25 degrees

Grin
Susannahmoody · 02/06/2021 15:14

It's too hot for me and my cats, so I've emptied and turned the kitchen fridge off and am defrosting it.

^^

You're doing this to keep cool? Seems extreme

SchrodingersImmigrant · 02/06/2021 15:15

Btw anyone realises this weather has similar pattern to the year with extreme heat and wild fires? Few years back? My mum was sending pictures brown grass in England to everyone

SisterBeaverhausen · 02/06/2021 15:19

Yanbu.

I hate the heat.

I have a heart condition that is exacerbated by the heat/humidity. Anything about 22 causes low blood pressure and my heart to palpitate. Currently laying on the sofa trying to feel somewhat better.

2019 was horrible. It got to 38 degrees where we were and I was hospitalised. If there was a respite at night I'd feel happier but the evenings are just hot and muggy too.

Around 18-20 with sun is enough for me!

SisterBeaverhausen · 02/06/2021 15:20

*above 22

I wear sunglasses pretty much whenever I'm out of the house.

Good job it's only for a short time every year then. Unlike the cold.

So do I. I have very photo sensitive eyes.
AdoraBell · 02/06/2021 15:38

I love hot weather, but hate humidity. Also, I now have solar keratosis so cannot expose my skin to UV light. So all things considered OP I’m with you.

YANBU.

AngeloMysterioso · 02/06/2021 15:40

A lovely year so far? Are you joking??

It’s been winter since fucking October. I live in Kent and two weeks ago we had hail. Tiny balls of ice falling from the sky. That’s not “a cooler May” that’s winter weather.

YanTanTethera123 · 02/06/2021 15:46

@SkyeIsPink

The perfect temperature is 20 degrees.
I agree. Any hotter and I struggle to get my breath (severe heart failure 😣) I am very happy sitting in the shade whilst everyone else lobsterises themselves 🙂, or sitting by an open window, or a fan.
stayathomer · 02/06/2021 15:48

Ireland had the wettest May in history but I definitely didn't want this! Sun cream before school on 3 very pale children so lots of moaning, and 2 are battling horrendous hayfever, then backwards and forward to school with the sun beaming in, then night time when it's too bright and too hot but because we're in Ireland, if you have them wear too little the weather will have changed and you'll have sick kids!! Yanbu (but I like summer as a rule, just over 18 and I'm out!!!)
