Two week holiday, family room, no sex

We are looking to book a special holiday for 2022 to Walt Disney World - two young children, and after researching I think the best option for us would be a family room onsite rather than a villa with separate bedrooms. Husband is grumpy because that would mean no sex for two weeks. I'm frustrated because I don't see how that should be the main factor deciding this type of holiday?! Perspective needed!!

@Lavender201

I’ve not read the whole thread, so I’m sure many people have already said this...

You have sex in the bathroom while the kids are sleeping. They usually have really nice bathrooms on Disney property. It’s not an issue!

I have stayed in a few WDW deluxe hotels, the bathrooms are nice enough but nothing special. A deluxe hotel would cost about £6k+ for a fortnight versus the husbands villa idea of about £1-2k. In a value or moderate Disney hotel there is a sink area which is separately from the bedroom by a curtain that I don’t think is even full length. Only the loo and a tiny shower cubicle is behind a solid wall and door and they take up a space that cannot be much more than 6ft sq.

See I do like sex on holiday, but the thought of having to schedule it in and lie silently on a tiled floor or seated by the bath would kill any passion stone dead for me.
Plus how do you negotiate silently when you're going to do it - send texts to each other ? Also I guess hope that no DCs need a night time wee.

Only the deluxe resorts have balconies too still not possible to have sex on one, but without even a balcony you'll be stuck in the room with the kids sleeping and no escape.
I'd honestly book a villa, or an offsite hotel, (some are still pretty much onsite anyway), with two bedrooms.
Check out Bonnet Creek for a start.
There's currently far fewer benefits to staying onsite atm anyway since Covid.

@Loveacoseynightin

Believe it or not Disney is actually a fun holiday. There is plenty to do and see across central Florida.

Disney
universal
Sea world
Busch Gardens
Kennedy Space Centre
gator land

4hr drive to the Everglades.

I would always go with the Villa option for space alone.

Oh lord don't mention SeaWorld Grin

@Unihorn
Oh bore off love or do you find the horrific mistreatment of wildlife utterly hilarious?

Bit weird if you do but then there are some very odd people on this thread Hmm

After a day at Disney World sex would be the last thing on my mind. It's knackering!

'Lol'
Are you 12? Hmm

We went to Disneyland for our honeymoon. 2 separate rooms not even a family room. It didn't occur to me that we wouldn't have sex. I booked it for the kids.
