So there's this awful misery on the school run. She's a massive hypocrite - complains about people parking on curb near her house, whilst her car is overlapping the drop curb to her house. She makes comments to people with blue badges(!) Writes disparaging notes on white sticky labels and sticks them on the wing mirrors on the mirror-glass. Even the very 'PC' Head teacher said "she's a very difficult woman".

Stuck her address into google, comes up with her name, which then shows up letters she's written in to the times and guardian reader's sections...I was expecting her to be a raging prick and bigot, but she's not. She's listed on an 'Alternative new year's honours list' for her volunteer work. There's even a photo of her smiling! In person she's got a constant frown and mouth like a cat's bum 🙀

I'm confused - she seems such an absolute witch in person, repeatedly butting heads with parents just trying to pick up their kids.

Her online results have disarmed me. Seemingly a sheep in wolf's clothing, rather confusing.

Yabu - take her on, online persona means nothing, she's no saint
Yanbu - just ignore her, misery guts

Oh how I wish you'd been clearer in your OP about how she was parking on her driveway and essentially blocking the pavement. It infuriates the crap out of me on the walk to my son's school as a few of the houses opposite do the same thing. So we then have to go out into the busy road to get rid round the car, that could easily fit on their actual driveway, and get back onto the pavement. I've assumed it's because they hate all the parents and children at the school and are hoping someone gets hit by a car 🤷.

You really need to leave this woman alone! Your further updates are absolutely bizarre and show a strange obsession with this woman!

You'd better be careful or she will end up "taking you on" via the police as your behaviour is very odd indeed.

As for "pick up vibe" I've honestly heard it all now 🙄

@CovidSmart

Honestly, if someone has an issue with all the life sucking parents coming to drop or pick their child, then you shouldn’t buy a house near a school.....

She choose to live near a school. It’s obvious that she would have parents parking near her house twice a day.

Having said that, if she is parking like the diagram, blocking the pavement to all pedestrians, she is an hypocrite.
Maybe she needs someone to start putting white stickers in her car to remind her to not block the pavement like this Wink

Well not really. She could have bought the house in the days that kids could actually walk. When I was at primary, everyone walked. Why should she move from her family home because most people are too lazy to walk nowadays?

There’s a group you might like to join on another social media platform with a little alien called Snoo. They like picking perfectly ordinary people to pieces because they live differently too. They like cyber stalking as well. You’d fit right in.

Why would you need to "take her on"? Confused

This

Are you one of those pain in the ass annoying parents that insist on parking in front of people's driveways so the little darlings brats don't have to walk a few metres?

From what you have said the only thing she moans about is school run parents parking in front of her house/on drop kerbs.

'Take her on' Confused.
I bet she has had people blocking her drive for her to behave this way. Some people are really inconsiderate on the school run.

As for the comment about your disabled child with the hidden disability. She didn't say something because your child was disabled though did she. Yes, she might have seen the blue badge (apparently) but she probably didn't think it was your son.

It's almost like you get a rise from winding her up. I bet if there were 100 spots, you'd still choose that one.

Stop stalking her.

@3Britnee, nice attack on parents there. Hmm

You can clutch at straws but it doesn’t make blocking pavement to all pedestrians acceptable.

I used to live near a naice school a few years ago. I too had to park so my car was poking out of my drive because if I didn't, inconsiderate arsehole parents would block me in and I couldn't get to work (I was working as a GP then so me being late would have had more than a few consequences). It was never just for the drop off either....some parents were there for up to an hour as they inevitably had to have a gossip for ages after the kids went in.

Oh and I too worked on the other side of my city so you could also accuse me of not supporting the community where I was living Grin

I wonder if anyone stalked me......

Its interesting that op didn't do this, and this only appeared when someone else asked if that's what happens, which surprises me given how much depth -stalking-- the op has done!

Take that mare on! Just because she presents an image of being "nice" and helps the community doesn't give her the right to be a miserable old sow in real life. Maybe use the ammo you've found on her online to challenger her, why is she such a bitch in real life when she is clearly capable of more?

Haha I'm assuming this is an ironic post. If not, just pointing out that it is not illegal to be miserable! What is upsetting is that there are people like the op whose lives are made miserable by someone 'ruining' the school run. Sad

Haha this is brilliant advice! ‘Hello there, woman who lives near my kids’ school! I’ve googled your address for absolutely no logical reason AND I’ve spoken to the assistant head at your kids’ school AND I’ve started a thread about you on a very popular parenting forum which is regularly fished for content for the daily mail, all totally normal. My question is, why are you such a weirdo?’

Best of luck!

To be honest she doesn't sound unreasonable to me.

Parking on the drop kerb outside her own house is completely reasonable....others blocking her street at pick up and drop off will be incredibly annoying. A blue badge doesn't mean you can park with impunity.

Good on her for sticking up for her street and disrespectful parent parking....it must be infuriating...put yourself in her shoes!

21 comments from OP. 21. And we still have no idea what the original “snarky comment” this woman made to OP was, or what this ‘orrible cat’s-bum-mouthed woman is writing on these Post-its that she leaves on wing mirrors. Those two facts would probably form 90% of my whole opinion at this point. I always feel strange about these OPs that won’t share the actual quotes. Because if a Post-It says something like, “You have been blocking this driveway for 45 minutes,” then that person looks a lot worse (yes, I know you mentioned they’re not blocking her drive BECAUSE she pulled onto her dropped kerb, but haven’t mentioned others really?) Instead, we’re just supposed to get het up because of the notes themselves. For all we know, she has a lot of disabled neighbors who can’t get out to “defend” their space (drives being blocked in, flowers being trampled, etc.) and they think she’s a hero for trying to get all those bastards from the near-by school to stop “ruining the vibe” of their neighborhood. Maybe ruining your vibe is her new community service! (I nominate her versus anyone who refers to a school run as “jollying on with life” - holy shite, OP).

Also, bit confused - on the mirrors, did you mean honest to God stickers that you cannot pull off without a residue that stays for weeks OR did you mean Post-its, because you said sticker labels, snd then once others used the term Post-its, you just agreed as well. I agree someone putting the equivalent of a bumper sticker on a mirror is not on, but a Post-it is completely different?
