So there's this awful misery on the school run. She's a massive hypocrite - complains about people parking on curb near her house, whilst her car is overlapping the drop curb to her house. She makes comments to people with blue badges(!) Writes disparaging notes on white sticky labels and sticks them on the wing mirrors on the mirror-glass. Even the very 'PC' Head teacher said "she's a very difficult woman".

Stuck her address into google, comes up with her name, which then shows up letters she's written in to the times and guardian reader's sections...I was expecting her to be a raging prick and bigot, but she's not. She's listed on an 'Alternative new year's honours list' for her volunteer work. There's even a photo of her smiling! In person she's got a constant frown and mouth like a cat's bum 🙀

I'm confused - she seems such an absolute witch in person, repeatedly butting heads with parents just trying to pick up their kids.

Her online results have disarmed me. Seemingly a sheep in wolf's clothing, rather confusing.

Yabu - take her on, online persona means nothing, she's no saint
Yanbu - just ignore her, misery guts

Kind of - she said something snarky once while I was loading my youngest into the car, whilst she was walking in the opposite direction. So I asked if she was ok. She's a coward, doesn't expect people to stand up to her weird comments.
So i wished her a good weekend, with enough sarcasm for her to choke on it.

Well she’s either butting heads or she’s a coward, surely? I live near a school, the majority of parents piss me off to be honest 🤷🏼‍♀️

TheRavenNevermore · 06/05/2021 19:54

Did you mean to use the vote option as a sort of poll? Confused

CaMePlaitPas · 06/05/2021 19:55

Is there nothing else you can be getting on with OP?

ZebraSpotts · 06/05/2021 19:57

I can't stand rudeness.
I can't stand her approaching the car with a blue badge that's not even bothering her. Why on earth would you bother a mother loading her disabled child into a car. (The child has a hidden disability, but the blue badge is very clearly on display.
I cannot stand bullies, shouldn't someone tell her that her behaviour is odd and needs to stop.
I've got 7 years left on the school run. This lady stares down parents just trying to go home, looking like she's just drank sour milk.

What was the reason for googling her address?

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 06/05/2021 19:58

I want a diagram of you taking her on, please.

Enko · 06/05/2021 20:00

Op

How about you actually " get to know her" then judge.

MissMarple21 · 06/05/2021 20:00

From her POV, can you imagine the decades of shit she's had to put up with from entitled parents?

ZebraSpotts · 06/05/2021 20:01

Exactly! Thank you for understanding! Glad you get it.

She's a vacuum that sucks all the joy out of her surroundings. Which is bloody unfortunate, because her surroundings are a school of parents, children, uni students just jollying on with life.

How did she comment/bother the mother?

Maybe if you gave actual information about her 'rude' behaviour that would help.

Nothing else you've mentioned seems especially rude or unpleasant, especially when you consider how selfish many parents are when parking on the school run

Giantrooster · 06/05/2021 20:05

OP I really think you should take a look in the mirror.

She is probably fed up of entitled school parents.

ZebraSpotts · 06/05/2021 20:06

@Glay

You googled her address?

Okay...

Yea it's the school address, just change 1 digit. Her behaviour is quite honestly bizarre, was wondering if it'd come up with new stories about her being a sociopath tbh

SuperMonkeys · 06/05/2021 20:07

Is she a coward, it always confronting people? Hard to be both.

I'd stand down to be honest, I'm sure Pepe don't need you to fight their imagined petty battles for them.

Why can't she park over her own drive,?

megletthesecond · 06/05/2021 20:07

From my experience approx 30% of car driving school run parents are not "jollying along with life". They're entitled, bad driving assholes who should have their licences revoked.

To be fair is probably guess at nearer to 70%
Pipecleaner50 · 06/05/2021 20:10

Stop blocking the poor woman's driveway perhaps?

That's 90% where we are.

Yes it's her behaviour that's odd...
AndromedaGal · 06/05/2021 20:11

You’re too involved. Find something to do.

Proudboomer · 06/05/2021 20:12

Doesn’t matter if you have a blue badge or not you still can’t park where you want.
Was you causing an obstruction or blocking a driveway?

IhateBoswell · 06/05/2021 20:15

The blue badge is irrelevant too imho, I have a disabled child myself and I don’t like people parking in front of my drive in case I need to get my own car out quickly. I think it’s you who needs to be more considerate, it’s her who lives there.

Livelovebehappy · 06/05/2021 20:15

Living near a school myself, I can understand her losing her shit. Not wanting some inconsiderate twatty parent to park across your drive doesn’t make her a nasty person. Nor does it mean she deserves to be stalked.

I know someone just like that. A misery guts with woke airs. Top tip: Do not take her seriously and do not let her spoil your mood.
