I think your colleagues wouldn't feel comfortable to publically speak about gender issues, if it's something they're concerned with.
The first rule of gender issues is nobody speaks about gender issues.
NHS likely to be sold off
I used to buy into this fear wholeheartedly. Then I actually assessed what the NHS has done to me or for me, and what it's not done to me or for me. Then I thought of all my relatives.
I came to the conclusion the NHS is completely unfit for purpose. Just so beyond fixing we'd probably be better tearing it down and starting from scratch.
Sad but true.
My maternity care almost cost me my life. And I caught pneumonia.
My operation was on the other side of the country.
And I caught pneumonia.
My psychiatrist assessment would have taken at least two years (which I ended up paying privately for, and about to fork out again for my daughter). At least we won't catch pneumonia though.
I've had one relative go into hospital and die, the other went in and got just completely lost in the insanely over-complicated system.
Not a reflection on the staff at all.
But I don't think any amount of reform, or any amount of millions they promise to throw at it could save it.
