Just opening a new thread as I believe the other one is getting full.
Will try and link the old one

RestingPandaFace · 04/05/2021 15:10

It sounds like you are doing a great job and treading a very fine line as well as possible.

Don’t let yourself be brought down by the negative Nellies.

Theluggagerules · 04/05/2021 15:13

Hoping you are all OK and that he is seeing what is actually happening now

BlackDaffodil · 04/05/2021 16:07

Sending you support and best wishes OP, you have handled this as best you can and continue to do so, given the circumstances. I hope you and your family are safe OP.

Good luck Flowers

MyOtherProfile · 04/05/2021 16:27

That sounds tough. I hope this is the beginning of a breakthrough.

Littlepaws18 · 04/05/2021 16:40

This is every parents nightmare. You are handling it so well op. Sorry I've nothing constructive to say, but keep on the path you are on. Your son will realise eventually that her behaviour is not normal. There will be one day he starts his tirade on him.

RandomMess · 04/05/2021 17:42

Hang on in there Thanks

FijiCavanaugh · 04/05/2021 20:18

Good luck Flowers

tiredybear · 04/05/2021 20:20

so sorry things have escalated again. Stay strong, rant on here to us, we've got your back xxx

Szyz2020 · 04/05/2021 20:26

Keep going. Stay strong. Hang on in there for your son - and don’t forget your own and your family’s sanity. Flowers

Sithee · 04/05/2021 20:41

I'm sorry thing have taken another turn, but it sounds like you're dealing with it.

As they say, it's darkest before dawn - hopefully this might be the last straw that precipitates some real change. Hang in there OP, you got this Flowers

Amandasummers · 04/05/2021 20:41

This sounds mad op! I hope your son gets out of this toxic relationship ASAP x

Iloveacurry · 04/05/2021 20:47

Poor kid. He must realise relationships shouldn’t be such hard work.

Tistheseason17 · 04/05/2021 20:48

I hope your DS continues to see her for what she is. Be brave. You can do it - and a lawyer sounds like a good idea.

Thehop · 04/05/2021 20:55

I hope the recent events end up being a blessing in disguise OP.

tara66 · 04/05/2021 20:55

Should we all come over to Australia and sort this out?

Wherearemymarbles · 04/05/2021 20:56

Fingers crossed for you all.

Mix56 · 04/05/2021 21:00

Oh God, tell me she's not pregnant.

Whywonttheyhelpme · 04/05/2021 21:05

I’ve been following your posts from the beginning. I have no advice other than to stay strong and to say I think you are doing an amazing job of being there to support your son. Good luck OP.

Ladydayblues1 · 04/05/2021 21:08

Flowers keeping fingers crossed your son is starting to see the light.

Mittens030869 · 04/05/2021 21:28

Sounds very stressful, OP, hope your DS gets out of this soon. Flowers

Budapestdreams · 04/05/2021 21:48

Oh OP, I hoped things wouldn't get any worse, I'm so sorry to hear this.
She really does need professional help and I just hope this will be the catalyst to get it for her.
I think your DS and your whole family need a lot of support for a long time to come.
I hope things settle down soon and I'm thinking of you and sending support round the world from the UK for you. 💐

MumofSpud · 04/05/2021 22:07

Sorry to hear that things escalated tonight. Have just read your thread (#1 and #2) and really feel for youThanks
As a parent to a teen -DD is 16 - it is so hard they are in one breath young adults and then in the next young children!
I really think if your DS was a DD then the police would be quicker to act.
Hoping all goes well with the lawyer etc

Justilou1 · 04/05/2021 22:11

I think that’s a very good idea!

TheMamaYo · 04/05/2021 22:40

All fingers crossed that you’re ok and that the boy will start backing out (safely). I often think of your story, it hits close to home in some ways for me. Really hoping for the best outcome for you all.

DdraigGoch · 04/05/2021 23:05

I think he is (finally) starting to see that she needs help.
This is progress then, hopefully.
