Middle Eastern, Italian, Japanese and Indian. I couldn't pick one. But I just love food including some English meals.

YABU OP, while Indian is delicious I would argue that indonesian is better. I wouldn't say any cuisine is the best though, it's all about what you're in the mood for.

All those foodmiles! For ethical reasons I try to limit foods flown in as it's such a huge contribution to climate change. Why the need when we are blessed with such delicious food on our doorstep? We have some of the highest quality arable farmland in the world. For some reason we just don't appreciate it! Aberdeen Angus beef Line caught salmon smoked or unsmoked In season fruit like strawberries and apples All the best dairy- milk, cream, butter from the best dairy cows in the world. So many tasty cheeses. New potatoes. Cakes! Scotch lamb Our native herbs. What's not to love?

And much of that locally procuced food tastes fantastic with the right combination of spices. It's not like I get my supermarket delivery all the way from Asia. 🤣

Where are people getting their Japanese food? I've been craving it lately but have never found a decent version outside Japan. And who knows when I'll be able to go there again 😭

There isn't much Japanese style good on offer up here, other than Teppenyaki, which is more entertainment than an authentic eating experience.

Indian / Punjabi / Pakistani is the best food.

Indian is my favourite.

It's proper Indian food all the way for me though, my DM is from the south. I'd give anything for a vegetable drumstick curry tonight.

@PickleCabbage my favourite thing is probably gyoza and one thing has always baffled me is why you can never seem to get pork ones outside Japan.

Apart from Indian, I do love Mexican and Italian food.

Never had food from Singapore or Sri Lanka.

I do agree that Indian desserts are disappointing.

My parents are from Pakistan and although the ingredients overlap with a lot of other South Asian countries, the methods of cooking and end results vary.

Ploughman's sandwiches are delicious.

I'm also partial to a deep fried pizza and chippy sauce as we had during school lunchtimes in Edinburgh.
I have yet to find a place in the North West of England that does deep fried pizza.
If anyone knows of one please let me know.

A ploughmans lunch has been my favourite meal since I was a small child. I often got strange looks on pub lunches when my sister ordered something and chips and I asked for a ploughmans 😂
