How many times do you wear a bra before washing?

AIBU - to wear once only? It’s costing me a fortune in underwear as they wear out/ grey quickly

If you’ve got big boobs and pay £50 for a bra ( as I do) chances are you don’t have a million to choose from. I don’t wash mine daily and I’ve never enquired around my friendship group but it does seem excessive. Mind you I hear some people wear clothes in bed and wash those daily so who knows 🤷‍♀️

I will happily wear outer clothes two or three times and unlike most Mumsnetters my bedding can be left for up to a fortnight. But would never wear underwear again.

I agree. I have occasionally worn a bra twice but generally if I have had it on all day, it will go in the wash.

Bras become dirty and smelly easily, same as shirt collars, no matter how clean you are.

carry on you clearly are not doing enough, you filthy discusting slattern. I change mine every 5 mins and then shower top to toe in bleach. I then put a new bra on fresh from the packet.

I wear mine for 2-3 days usually. I'm blessed (??) with big boobs so if I'm particularly sweaty in the summer I probably wouldn't get more than 2 days out of it

Once for me too, wondering if I could stretch it out now, always thought of it as underwear and so changed daily.

Every few days, at week at most - I don't really sweat much even in hot weather but I do wash them a bit more often in the summer

I wear mine for a week unless it seems to need washing earlier.

Sports bras about 3 wears before washing. They're only on for about an hour and I only tend to get sweaty when doing cardio which I detest

Normal bras after a week. I am a small but awkward to find size (28 band so not a lot of places to buy from) and living in Scotland the weather is rarely hot enough that I'd have to change it more frequently than that Currently furloughed until the end of the month so foregoing bras completely.

Once for me, I do get sweaty under boob

I rarely wear one but I wash it daily if I do, mainly because I get sweaty under my boobs and who knows when I'll wear it again

I’d love to go without a bra, but with my 28H boobs my back wouldn’t stand it!

Every few days as larger breasts and bras are expensive
If sweaty or dirty / smells would wash sooner
But i put on after shower and use deodorant so the above doesn't apply after one day

It depends. If I go walking I'll wash it the same day. If its been worn to work for a few hours then longer. I know its underwear but my boobs don't secrete, not since breastfeeding anyway. I can tell if I am getting sweaty.

I no longer wear one! I only have 1 white and 1 black one now, for if the need to wear one ever arrises

After 2-3 wears- but I have eczema so my skin is happier with a cleaner bra. If I didn't have the skin condition I'd probably leave it a week given that I am fussy about bras, they are expensive and washing wrecks them.

I take it off after an hour or so and bleach / boil wash at 90 degrees. Anything else is discusting tbh

Bra that I wear rarely because it only goes with certain tops- every time I do a wash in that colour and it's dirty

I try and remember to chuck whatever bra I've been wearing in the wash whenever I'm putting one on, and switch to a clean one (even if that means changing bras in the middle of the afternoon...) which means it varies! I guess I change to a fresh bra about twice a week, although if the laundry has been neglected for more than about four days I do chuck it in the basket.
