Will you be spending 3 hours queuing to get into IKEA and another 2 hours trying to pay?

I'm desperate for some fabric so Dunelm or John Lewis for me

OP posts:
ForestYeti · 11/04/2021 14:41

None, the queues will be ridiculous I’m going to wait til the week after

maddiemookins16mum · 11/04/2021 14:52

None. I have managed perfectly fine with online and supermarket deliveries.

Boph · 11/04/2021 14:54

Go outdoors for walking boots, mine are worn out from lockdown walks

StevieNix · 11/04/2021 14:58

I’m going to leave it a week or so, but Primark. I need so many cheap basics like socks, underwear, strap tops, leggings etc

DanielRicciardosSmile · 11/04/2021 15:02

Nowhere tomorrow as I'll be at work. Looking forward to seeing the Primark queue as I walk past though! As soon as I can get in I'm going to Bravissimo as I'm absolutely desperate for new bras.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 11/04/2021 15:04

Working this week but possibly on Friday I'll get to the local town.
Primark (I need underwear and socks) and a look into TKMaxx/HomeSense if it's not too busy .

I have some time booked off next week so might go to M&S and John Lewis .
Not even thinking about hair appointments and I don't like pubs anyway .

EmpressSuiko · 11/04/2021 15:04

Primark and H&M 😂

Inclinedtochatter · 11/04/2021 15:17

None I'm working all week. Too skint at the moment due to DH losing his job as the company went under. He starts a new job tomorrow so things are looking up. Can't even scrape together a fiver to get my eyebrows threaded at the moment! Need some new trousers for work and a haircut but that can wait until next month. Going to carry on using click and collect for my food shopping though as I've not missed going into supermarkets at all.

Cherrysoup · 11/04/2021 15:23

I’m working, so none. All of my ‘essential’ shops eg feed store, supermarkets, have been open throughout, thank god. Everything else is generally online purchases. Is everything opening tomorrow?

Parky04 · 11/04/2021 15:25

Gym in the morning and pub in the afternoon. So excited!

YetAnotherWalk · 11/04/2021 15:26

@IAmTheDuke Lush has gone

We will be visiting the library.

Ellie56 · 11/04/2021 15:32

@Alfiemoon1

If DS is only going to be at school for a few weeks and won't need the shoes for 6th form or wherever else he's going I'd tell school you can't afford new shoes at the moment.

PennyArcade · 11/04/2021 15:34

Me too - or even the week after that. The only reason I’m going is to change some clothes that I bought DD for Christmas and picked up the wrong size 🙄 I won’t be hanging around browsing though. I can’t think of anything worse!

IAmTheDuke · 11/04/2021 15:36

@YetAnotherWalk Oh no! I only went past it on Tuesday on my way to Costa after doing the Long Walk.
Didn’t take too much notice though, is it all empty inside?

SpeckledyHen · 11/04/2021 15:38

John. Lewis on Tuesday to buy towels .

homesickinscotland · 11/04/2021 15:41

None, there's nothing I want to buy badly enough to put a mask on to do so.

lljkk · 11/04/2021 15:41

Swimming pool on Tuesday :)

Not sure when to ask Charity shops "Are you ready for donations?" In 2020 they overflowed with donations & I wonder if they will want weeks of delay before accepting donations this time, too.

Also looking forward to trying to flog stuff at a carboot sale sometime in May (I hope).

16yo DS badly wants new trousers from Primark. Big DC are desperate to get haircuts. I'm keeping a wild hair look for now.

whenwillthemadnessend · 11/04/2021 15:41

Tiles. Just had kitchen fitted and need to find tiles.

Briarshollow · 11/04/2021 15:44

Decathlon and Home Sense.

Boomshakkalakka · 11/04/2021 15:46

non as i will be at work - same as all the rest of the days of the pandemic. a few weeks down the line i might go to ikea but i wouldnt go tomorrow even if i could.

zigaziga · 11/04/2021 15:50

No shops I didn’t think but I can’t wait to do stuff again - I plan on going swimming and to an exercise class this week and have a wax booked.

FindingMeno · 11/04/2021 15:50

None. It'll be mayhem.
But when it calms a bit I'll be hitting Primark for leggings for dd and slippers for moi.

scissy · 11/04/2021 15:51

Got a fitting appt in Clarks for DD - she's been complaining of tight shoes since the schools went back and has an awkward fitting so no doubt it'll be both new school shoes and trainers required tomorrow.

That and she needs summer uniform - didn't bother buying any last year, it definitely won't fit this year Grin.

catsandchaos · 11/04/2021 15:54

None

TheVelvetiser · 11/04/2021 15:56

Planning a day out with all three teen DDs who are rather excited. Between us, we need underwear, stationery and shoes.

'My life doesn't revolve around shopping.' Love how this is being trotted out across social media today like it's a badge of a moral superiority 🤣🤣
