Will you be spending 3 hours queuing to get into IKEA and another 2 hours trying to pay?

I'm desperate for some fabric so Dunelm or John Lewis for me

Oh, and we queued for 45 minutes to get into Clarks. Apparently the queues were a lot longer straight after school time. I strongly recommend booking an appointment!

Managed to get DD her school clothes and shoes (she HAD grown a full size since last time Blush)
It was busy in town when we arrived and there was a queue outside Primark, but all the shops we went in were practically dead inside apart from Clarks Confused so I'm not sure where everyone was going, clearly not the same place as us!

The school uniform shop I went to was 4 customers only. We got there when 2 people were already there, and 2 people waiting outside.Not exactly a bunfight.

Not going in until kids are back at school and it's calmed down a bit!

We were very very lucky today we got to Primark and there was only 4 people in front of us so me and my DD17 didn't have to queue but bloody hell when we came out of there there must have been nearing 200 people queuing to get in,I didnt envy them.

We also went into The Card Factory,Boots and Superdrug and there was no queues to get into them and we managed to find an empty table at a coffee shop and the snow had cleared up and the sun came out just before we got to the restaurant for our lunch so I'm really glad we went we had a lovely day.

Went into town with DS in pram this afternoon. Not a very successful trip.

Went into Waterstones to browse the paperback fiction, which is on the first floor... the lift was out of order. Went into Clark’s to get some lightweight shoes for DS, the children’s shoes are on the first floor... the lift was out of order. Both places lost a pretty much guaranteed sale straight away.

It’s not like they’ve had 4 months to get the lifts sorted or anything...

@altiara

Not sure why people are being a bit snooty saying buy online. I’m moving in a month, my stb ex H is keeping most of the furniture so I need to buy beds and sofas. I draw the line at buying furniture online without seeing the quality face to face.

@Mookie81 did you make an appointment? When I checked the Dream’s website i made an appointment to go to the store.

Nope, just walked in.

Monday was a great day for me! I went into H&M, Waterstones, FatFace and John Lewis. Queues weren’t bad and I thoroughly enjoyed it
