Will you be spending 3 hours queuing to get into IKEA and another 2 hours trying to pay?

I'm desperate for some fabric so Dunelm or John Lewis for me

OP posts:
ChocOrange1 · 11/04/2021 17:09

@sassysuspenders

None because I just pushed a 7lb 60z baby out of me

I'm seeing us heading back into another lockdown with the way people are acting

I went to IKEA when my baby was 3 days old 😂
Mumblechum0 · 11/04/2021 18:13

Are we allowed to try stuff on? I'm so sick of sending online purchases back because they're awful. Looking at you Johnny Boden

I hope so I really need some new jeans mine have literally fallen apart but I need to try some on
ballroompink · 11/04/2021 18:19

I only really wanted to go to John Lewis but ours is one of the ones that has closed and I'm so annoyed!

I need pyjamas, socks, tights and photo frames so I guess T K Maxx might be the only other place worth going to!

soundsystem · 11/04/2021 18:34

Haircut booked for tomorrow, pub lunch booked for Tuesday Grin

TheGoogleMum · 11/04/2021 18:41

None I'm working!

Angrymum22 · 11/04/2021 18:45

Jewellers tomorrow then pub lunch , it’s my birthday and DH owes me a decent present due to having early lockdown birthday last year and not getting round to buying me a pressie.
I have started wearing earrings again. I stopped wearing them when I developed a reaction to anything but gold so going to pick up something simple to wear everyday.
Hair is booked for start of May when hairdresser has got back into it, I don’t want to be his first haircut after 3 mnths off.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 11/04/2021 18:54

Whatever shops that have the smallest ques! I'm looking forward to it. Hair cut and piercing shop Tuesday which I'm very excited about.

lazylinguist · 11/04/2021 18:58

I won't get there until Wednesday, but I'm going to go to a lovely yarn shop I've only just found out about and buy a load of wool to make myself a jumper.

MrsDoctorDear · 11/04/2021 18:58

I'm desperate to try stuff on, sick of sending stuff back then waiting ages for a refund. ASOS have been the worst.

altiara · 11/04/2021 19:00

Not sure why people are being a bit snooty saying buy online. I’m moving in a month, my stb ex H is keeping most of the furniture so I need to buy beds and sofas. I draw the line at buying furniture online without seeing the quality face to face.

@Mookie81 did you make an appointment? When I checked the Dream’s website i made an appointment to go to the store.

LovingBob · 11/04/2021 19:03

Another one who wanted to go to John Lewis, we are going to York for holiday and was looking forward to popping in but York one is closing.

thenonsensepotter · 11/04/2021 19:03

every single charity shop I can physically get to between school drop off and pick up.

littledrummergirl · 11/04/2021 19:04

Haberdashery. I need enough fabric to get me through the next fucking closures to recover the outside seating, sofa and three armchairs.

rhowton · 11/04/2021 19:11

I'm off for breakfast with my mum followed by shopping followed by lunch followed by more shopping.

Starlightstarbright1 · 11/04/2021 19:16

I am working till Wednesday. I am hoping by Thursday crowds have dies down. It is ds' birthday Sunday need to go.

I need to go to dunn elm and Ikea but that can wait

fairydustandpixies · 11/04/2021 19:48

Charity shops! And being brave to try and sign up to a gym.

squiglet111 · 11/04/2021 19:51

Going to avoid shops tomorrow.

Tuesday Primark, h&m, and tk maxx. Very excited!

Muchtoomuchtodo · 11/04/2021 19:53

I’m in Wales. Does that make a huge difference?

I’m looking forward to going to our local high st and visiting our little boutique clothes shops and florist. Also the toy shop for Dan’s upcoming birthday.

ddl1 · 11/04/2021 20:34

Local charity shops! Partly to have a nose round; partly to donate stuff I've collected.

Will avoid anything likely to be super-crowded until things have calmed down slightly.

MercyBooth · 11/04/2021 20:51

None of them. Only my hairdressers for a skin test.
Let the MPs who kept voting for these lockdowns open their wallets and go out and spend.

kittensarecute · 11/04/2021 21:12

No, it's my mum's birthday so we are going for a picnic and then for a cocktail or two.

IamnotaStepfordHousewife · 11/04/2021 21:15

Nail 💅 appointment at 930 and hair cut the day after. Soooo excited

MadisonAvenue · 11/04/2021 21:17

I’m going to the hairdressers.

There’s a new McArthur Glen retail park opening within walking distance for the first time tomorrow, I’ve been waiting for a few years for it to finally open but I’ll be giving it a miss for a while.

cerealgamechanger · 11/04/2021 21:24

Are charity shops opening tomorrow?
