Will you be spending 3 hours queuing to get into IKEA and another 2 hours trying to pay?

I'm desperate for some fabric so Dunelm or John Lewis for me

OP posts:
Costaheaven · 11/04/2021 10:45

None, will be working and have no desire to join the queues to get in.

MobyDicksTinyCanoe · 11/04/2021 10:45

Taking my ds to Loccitane to spend his birthday money, he's so excited 😂😂😂

DenisetheMenace · 11/04/2021 10:46

Have you discovered Pound fabrics (online)?

Don’t laugh, I always look there first now, have bought some astonishing bargains. Usually deliver in a day or two.

DarkishBlue · 11/04/2021 10:49

None, I'm going to let it settle down for a couple of weeks. I volunteer in one of the big chain charity shops and can confirm they are all opening tomorrow. I'm not going back till after 2nd jab.

marriednotdead · 11/04/2021 10:51

Curtain shop and sugarcraft shop tomorrow for an unexpected order.

Working newly reopened retail Tuesday- God help me.

Self isolating for 14 days from Wednesday for a hospital procedure

teaandcustardcreamsx · 11/04/2021 10:52

I’m at work so none. Hoping to get my eyebrows done at the weekend

LadyPoison · 11/04/2021 10:52

None of them - nothing I really need at the moment.

TheWaif · 11/04/2021 10:52

I'm working tomorrow and CBA to try to get into anywhere at lunch time.

Friday though I am going into town to look for shoes!

megletthesecond · 11/04/2021 10:54

None.

I'm leaving it for a few weeks. I have no desire to be inside with loads of other people and risk picking up covid now (lone parent and I can't afford to get ill). I'm going back to supermarket collections for a bit.

Ohdofuckofdear · 11/04/2021 10:54

I'm taking my DD17 into town and were going clothes shopping and then she's getting her nails done and I'm getting a pedicure and were both getting our eyebrows done and I've booked us a table at one of our favourite restaurants and we can't wait! Grin

cyclingmad · 11/04/2021 10:55

I do need to return shelving back to zikea, but having slipped a disc ill have to wait a few weeks until I csn lift heavy items again.

So yes I was going to, but now I'm not.

Probably a good thing if I wait as I'm sure queues for returns will be long

expectopelargonium · 11/04/2021 10:56

I might attempt to drop some stuff off at the charity shop. Otherwise I'm leaving everything else for a week or two.

Dunelm would probably be the first stop because I need a new dinner service and I've seen one on their website that I like, but I'd like to see it in the flesh really.

LawnFever · 11/04/2021 10:56

I’m going to get a new foundation and going to the pub for lunch Smile

Wish I had a hair appointment but can’t get in for a couple of weeks yet

Changingwiththetimes · 11/04/2021 10:57

It's not shops i want to visit but cafés. I normally meet friends for breakfast two of three times a week after school drop off and before work. That precious hour to talk with an adult, get the latest gossip and just chat about anything. We've been doing it via houseparty or WhatsApp but its not the same and all too easy to forget or be busy doing something else. Plus I miss my ham amd cheese croissants! So can't wait til we can sit in cafés and restaurants again.

Mooloolabababy · 11/04/2021 10:57

I think I'll leave it for a few days as it'll be heaving, but I'm desperate to go to Primark!
Ds and I both need new clothes and just can't find anything decent in the supermarkets and none of our sizes available online, also on a budget so that's the best place to go. Not sure what shops will still be open on the high street now though, so don't think there will be much choice out there Sad

PinkiOcelot · 11/04/2021 10:58

None, I’m at work.

FedUpAtHomeTroels · 11/04/2021 10:58

Sports direct, Dh has no socks lfet without holes in and we've both worn out our hiking boots.

coogee · 11/04/2021 10:58

I don't need anything non-essential, so it will be WFH as usual.

Changingwiththetimes · 11/04/2021 10:59

I know we can do it outside but my faves don't have outdoor seating and it can be a bit too chilly yet!

BamboozledandBefuddled · 11/04/2021 11:01

Sticking with Amazon for the foreseeable future. I'd be more interested in going to the pub but the majority are staying closed in this area.

Glitterblue · 11/04/2021 11:03

None, we live in a small town that doesn't have much more than the ones that have been open all along, like B and M, Home Bargains, Boots, Savers.

Elphame · 11/04/2021 11:05

The big second hand book reseller - both to drop off a couple of big boxes of books and collect more to replace them.

Bookshops should definitely have been made an essential retailer

MagicSummer · 11/04/2021 11:06

None but I have to go to my hairdresser to have a colour test before I can have it done later in the week! They are making everybody who has colour take a test as it's been so long since it was used!! Cannot wait to not look like a badger any more!

SmashedAvocado · 11/04/2021 11:10

None. They’ll be packed!

The only thing I desperately need is a summer school jacket for my 10 yr old (couldn’t find anything in his size online) but he’ll have to go back in his winter jacket tomorrow anyway so it can wait til the end of the week when the initial run on the shops is hopefully over.

Ifixfastjets · 11/04/2021 11:11

To all the people mentioning decathlon.
I tried to order a kite online, to collect in an hour. (This was yesterday).
The online thing kept crashing. So I decided to go to the store and ask them for help with online order. Was quite prepared to wait an hour in my car if needed.
Walked up to the security man on the door. Paused and said good morning. He said good morning, in you go. Sanitiser on the left.
It was open. As a "normal" shop. As in, shop alone, keep 2m apart..
So anybody considering decathlon; it might be worth checking your local one today, before the madness of tomorrow.
