Are you-

  1. Redundant
  2. On furlough/flexi-furlough
  3. Kept your hours and job as it was before the pandemic

Just interested to see. I was made redundant last year. So was DD and a couple of other family members and friends. Been looking for several months and none of us been successful yet but some have had interviews.

OP posts:

Closest to 3 (but that's not correct, either). Forced wfh, worked for months without any contract, etc.

my income dropped by 25% in 2020. Lots of my previous work conditions may have changed forever. Currently secure PT job until 2023.

Flowers24 · 05/04/2021 21:11

Number 3 but reduced hours

20viona · 05/04/2021 21:12

3 - nhs and just got a promotion.

JollyAndBright · 05/04/2021 21:15

DP and I are both working from home for the foreseeable future. (Pre-pandemic we worked from home one-two days a week)

Waxonwaxoff0 · 05/04/2021 21:19

3 and I've actually increased my hours, I was on furlough at the start of the pandemic though until August.

Onesnowynight · 05/04/2021 21:20

3 got a salaried job over double NMW during the first lockdown and have had a pay rise. I’m working class.

Onesnowynight · 05/04/2021 21:21

And I’m working from home with a day here and there at the office

JeanClaudeVanDammit · 05/04/2021 21:23

Except my unofficial hours/unpaid overtime have increased because workload is through the roof and it’s harder to get things done while we’re working from home.

Oblomov21 · 05/04/2021 21:26

Worked throughout.
Very resentful.

Spidey66 · 05/04/2021 21:28

Community mental health nurse.
My job is in referrals and assessment team.

Lockdown #1, referrals went down, was redeployed to do depot clinic.

Since then, mixture of WFH (phone assessments) and in the office. Currently mostly in the office, face to face appointments have restarted.
Hate WFH, much prefer going in and seeing patients face to face.

Bargebill19 · 05/04/2021 21:29

@Oblomov21

Agree.

Babyroobs · 05/04/2021 21:29

@Oblomov21

Worked throughout. Very resentful.
Resentful of what ??
Easterbhunny · 05/04/2021 21:29

Sort of 3. I got a new job in September, promotion, same industry.
I had one extended family member furloughed in the first lockdown and one neighbour but everyone else I know seems to have carried on in their WFH roles.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 05/04/2021 21:30

@Oblomov21

Worked throughout. Very resentful.
I find that such an odd attitude. I'm so glad to have a job in this current climate.
Cushionsnotpillows · 05/04/2021 21:31

Self employed, busier than ever after taking one business online, seen a lot of growth from people shopping from home.

FredaFox · 05/04/2021 21:32
  1. Kept job, worked throughout.
No friends or family on furlough now or made redundant. Majority worked other than those in hospitality and leisure jobs Work have made redundancies, I’m grateful to have a job
Longdistance · 05/04/2021 21:32
  1. And count my lucky stars every day. No pay cut, but got 1% raise in September.
Blueskythinking123 · 05/04/2021 21:32
  1. Same hrs, same job. Currently WFH.
HCHY4 · 05/04/2021 21:40

3

Joeblack066 · 05/04/2021 21:41
  1. Whole family (me and 3 adult children and their partners all so very lucky)
Only casualty has been my youngest who graduated last year. Currently unemployed and the whole thing has massively exacerbated MH problems.
2pinkginsplease · 05/04/2021 21:41

I was furloughed during first lockdown, started a new job after the summer ,got let go in December and managed to find a similar full time job within 2 weeks. Been working there for a few weeks now.

AliTheMinx · 05/04/2021 21:46
  1. DH and I have kept our jobs and so have most of our friends. I do know a few people on furlough and one who jumped too early and took voluntary exit fearing redundancies (which didn't happen). She is kicking herself now, as that was last July and she still hasn't found another job. I appreciate I am lucky and wish you all the best, OP.
yoyo1234 · 05/04/2021 21:56

3 for me and DH.

KirstyHasLeft · 05/04/2021 22:23

Furloughed then made redundant. Only just found a new job.
