Are you-

  1. Redundant
  2. On furlough/flexi-furlough
  3. Kept your hours and job as it was before the pandemic

Just interested to see. I was made redundant last year. So was DD and a couple of other family members and friends. Been looking for several months and none of us been successful yet but some have had interviews.

Self employed and rebuilding - have a stream of enquiries which are all dependent on hairdressers opening 😂

FireflyRainbow · 05/04/2021 15:36
  1. Been busier since the pandemic.
AgentJohnson · 05/04/2021 15:37
  1. Got a pay rise in January.
Greyingmumto3 · 05/04/2021 15:39

I have pretty much worked throughout (although some were furloughed)
Husband has been furloughed for the last year and counting (works in the events industry) he has had some temporary work in a different area though .
My son managed to find a full time job just after leaving college which we were very pleased about ( not in the area he would like to work but a job for now )

  1. I got a job last October and I’m working more hours since before the pandemic.
folloyourarro · 05/04/2021 15:41

3, as is everyone I know actually but most people I know are public sector workers come to think of it.

MiaowMiaow99 · 05/04/2021 15:41
  1. Only met 1 person who was fuloughed over the summer and obviously hairdresser has barely worked for the last 12 months.
ArtemisiaGentle · 05/04/2021 15:42
  1. Worked outside the home throughout. I'm in secure employment as an essential worker so I'm fortunate.
dotdashdashdash · 05/04/2021 15:42
  1. Much busier than usual, got a promotion last year and large payrise.
Alreadyinmypyjamas · 05/04/2021 15:43
  1. Was furloughed briefly when the construction industry closed but now we are in full swing.

My best friend had her entire career destroyed and has only just found another job after getting made redundant early on.

hemhem · 05/04/2021 15:45

3 but went from full time to part time so I could manage homeschooling slightly better. My company is busier than ever and lots of people are not coping with the workload due to the difficulties of wfh for over a year and pressure to perform

murasaki · 05/04/2021 15:45
  1. WFH since last march, but ending up putting in more hours than I did in the office. it just doesn't seem to switch off, which is not great. Financially, fine, as I am now able to save a bit.

DP was unemployed for a bit, which was not fun in a small house, but is now back in work and doing fine. And it did teach me that I can actually manage the house without him, should ever need to, which I don;t want to, but it's comforting to know.

We're lucky, i guess. I need to remember that when I get cross.

NRCS · 05/04/2021 15:45

3+ busier than ever as a result of covid, working same hours as before officially but actually much busier (but too busy), recent promotion and pay rise.

Tinygem · 05/04/2021 15:47
  1. but returning to work
imminently.
RightOnTheEdge · 05/04/2021 15:49
  1. Still on furlough. I went back to work last summer and then back on furlough again at Christmas.
LondonWFuck · 05/04/2021 15:51
  1. Wfh since pandemic started. Got biggest payrise I've had in my 7 years here, in Jan (no idea why). Financial services.
PissTestRightNowDaniella · 05/04/2021 15:53

2, but then I work in hospitality.

Been up on bricks more than I have been working over the last 12 months, who knows what the future holds.....

Doilooklikeatourist · 05/04/2021 15:53
  1. On furlough
Self employed and the business can’t trade until May 10th Fed up and financially devastated
Howshouldibehave · 05/04/2021 15:56
  1. As is DH, our siblings and all our friends actually, luckily. The next door neighbour has been furloughed but he’s surprisingly the only person I know that has.
longhaulstress · 05/04/2021 15:57

On furlough but about to go to flexi furlough from next Monday.

Bargebill19 · 05/04/2021 15:58

Just changed jobs and hoping it will be less than the 70 hour weeks with no holiday.

LucieStar · 05/04/2021 15:59

3 but currently on maternity leave

TheJerkStore · 05/04/2021 15:59

3 and busier than ever

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 05/04/2021 16:00

3 but workload has increased as they are not replacing people who choose to leave....

Fifipop185 · 05/04/2021 16:02

3 and super lucky to have been WFH, looks like it'll be permanent meaning I can do school runs from now on and not need wraparound childcare for ASD DS. Incredibly lucky and grateful.
