Live in a beautiful seaside town in the SW.

Yesterday, in the 5 minutes of getting out of my car I saw the second home owners from Oxford in their holiday home opposite our house had arrived and a whole family get out of their car with their suitcases arrive at their gran's house two doors down.

Just...bloody...WAIT!!!

@PregnantGotCovid clearly didn't stick to the rules properly, or you wouldn't have caught it?

Who did you infect I wonder?

PregnantGotCovid · 31/03/2021 00:45

@HandyHarry I'm a front line nhs worker, so it is very possible I caught at work. I has also been in hospital for myself in the days before my positive lateral flow test. Unfortunately plenty of other patients not wearing masks when I was there. I had also been (briefly)in a supermarket. I am not worried about who I infected, as I completely stuck to the rules, so acted reasonably, and got a positive lateral flow test before I actually had symptoms myself. Unsurprisingly, my DH caught it from me. I caught it just before I was due to stop face to face work as I was coming up to my 3rd trimester.

Yes you are right @Hadjab, I will never know if the person I caught it from was also following the rules. But my point is that the risk to me was increased by being exposed to others who hadn't followed the rules.

I ended up going on maternity leave sooner than planned thanks to being unwell, but feeling better now. My DH is still not fully recovered though 3 months on, despite being very healthy. It is worrying as we are a couple of weeks away from having a newborn.

last summer our Council had to employ poo Marshalls
Why didn’t they just employ public toilet cleaners instead? Just the usual jobsworth mentality -punish people instead of thinking of solutions.
