Posting for traffic

I usually go to bed between 1-2am and now I'm thinking this isn't normal after reading many threads where people are going to bed much earlier... the other day I read a thread where op was worried for her adult daughter having to work til 10pm, both my mil and Dm go to bed at 9 ish, my sil is also in bed by 9...

So what time do you go to bed usually?

In bed lights out 10ish. Sometimes earlier but not often enough. Baby up by 5:30 and usually wakes a few times before then so I'm always tired.
My dream is to be in bed by 8 like my sister but it never happens

PurpleFlower1983 · 07/03/2021 19:22

Usually in bed by 10.30-11pm.

TheGriffle · 07/03/2021 19:22

I head up about half 11 or midnightish asleep by 1ish usually. Woken up by dd anytime after 6 with the odd night wake up call as well. I don’t tend to get more than 6 hours a night and that can be broken sleep. I’m always shattered.

I also crave the quietness after the kids have gone to bed and I’m a night owl.

The other night I was asleep by about 11, woken up twice by dd about 2 then wide awake by 5am and couldn’t get back to sleep.

Everydaydragon · 07/03/2021 19:23

Bed at 9/930. I'm usually up between 5 and 6am for a run and shower before my kids wake up

MrsJBaptiste · 07/03/2021 19:23

I go up at 11pm, read until 11.30, up at 6.30 (but always awake from 6am)

I can manage on 6-7 hours for a few nights but then have to go to bed an hour earlier to catch up!

Sunnyday321 · 07/03/2021 19:23

Mainly 10-10.30 ish , most closer to 10. I do read for 30 -40 mins, can't sleep if I don't read.

BlueSussex · 07/03/2021 19:25

I go up at 9.30, by the time I have faffed around I am always tucked up lights out by 10.

I get up between 6 and 7 on a weekday, later at weekends. I bloody love my sleep, and I love the early mornings when it's all quiet and peaceful and nobody is about.

LadyB49 · 07/03/2021 19:25

Not a great sleeper. Go to bed 1 - 2, might get an hour's sleep and the up for a couple of hours. Back to bed around 5am and hope for 4 hours. If Im lucky I'll get another hour late morning. I am retired and never make morning arrangements.

littlepattilou · 07/03/2021 19:28

Usually 11.30pm or so. Occasionally an hour later. Usually up around 7.45 a.m.

During lockdown I have been going as late as 1.00 a.m. and not getting up til 9.30 to 10 a.m. (I have been on furlough since last March, except for 3.5 months in the middle.)

user143677433 · 07/03/2021 19:28

Midnight-ish, but I’m not having to get up until 8 currently, so would be an hour earlier if getting up at 7.

Queenfreak · 07/03/2021 19:29

I'm usually in bed 10ish.
Asleep between 10 and midnight, depending on how tired I am.
I share a bed with small, but love my 'quiet' time in bed to read or faff about on my phone before going to sleep.

TokyoSushi · 07/03/2021 19:30

11 ish, up around 7am

SchrodingersImmigrant · 07/03/2021 19:31

Depends what time are you waking up. I usually go about half 12 and wake up half 7.
Even when I was waking up at half4 I didn't go at 9 though. 11 is the earliest I can really fall asleep.

Everyone is different so if it works for you, it doesn't matter what others do.

Ilovenutellaaaaa · 07/03/2021 19:31

I go to bed at 12.30am but don't sleep straightaway (I read Mumsnet or watch a bit of YouTube for half an hour until I'm sleepy)

TomorrowIsAnotherDae · 07/03/2021 19:32

I’m usually in bed by 9’ish, but sometimes, like tonight, I get into bed about 7pm and read or watch tv for a bit. Usually try to sleep around 10’ish and up at 6am most days. I’m in my 50’s now, I think age plays a factor.

JustTeach · 07/03/2021 19:33

Bed 10ish and usually asleep by 11pm.
Awake between 6-7am.
I very much need 7-8 hours to feel good.

vodkaredbullgirl · 07/03/2021 19:33

All over the place, work nights. Been off this past week and I've been in bed by 9.30, but up at 6.30 to take eldest to work.

DrunkenKoala · 07/03/2021 19:34

Aim for 10.30 on a Sunday and 11 Mon - Sat. Up at 6.

Sunshineandflipflops · 07/03/2021 19:34

10/10.30, read for a bit, usually asleep by 11-ish. Up at 6.30/7am.

I am a morning person and not a night owl so would rather get to bed at a decent time and be up and at em in the morning!

HeatherShimmerIsMyShade · 07/03/2021 19:35

9pm, but often read/watch Netflix for an hour or two before I sleep. I struggle with staying asleep all night, so although I'm in bed for 9 or 10 hours, I'm not getting anything like that much sleep. I never used to be like this, it's what lockdown has done to me!

blowinahoolie · 07/03/2021 19:35

Naturally up with the larks, so need bed early. Usually in bed at 8, asleep by 9.30/10pm

VerbenaGirl · 07/03/2021 19:36

Depending on how I’m feeling, on weekdays, any time between 9pm and 11pm. I need my sleep! Wouldn’t hesitate going at 8am if I was tired enough or had a very early start.

Ratched · 07/03/2021 19:37

I am in bed now😁
Gin and tonic by my side and crap on tv, but cosy, comfortable and .....well, why not?

Usually I am in bed by 9pm, lights out 10ish and I am up every morning between 5am and 5:30.

Ragwort · 07/03/2021 19:37

Usually 10ish and read for about an hour .... but last night I was just so bored and fed up & I couldn't think of anything else to do so went to bed at 8.30pm ! Did read for a couple of hours. I do t watch a lot of tv and can rarely watch more than one programme in an evening ... I envy people who can jump from one programme to another. If I am really into a Box Set I might watch two episodes.

I normal times I would be out and about a few evenings a week which would keep me busier but am on furlough and the days are very tedious (no DC at home).

ChorltonWheelie · 07/03/2021 19:37

10.30-11 and generally up at 4am, get all my best work done first thing in the morning
